Meeting his gaze for a moment before shying away, she was almost certain that she saw the happy memories dancing across his eyes, a stronger smile twitching at her lips. He seemed so peaceful.

A soft purr in her voice, happiness dancing across her own eyes, she gave his hand a slight squeeze, looking up at his face. The peaceful look about him had faded slightly, her own expression changing to try and figure out why... "What's wrong Riley?"

Light brown eyes meeting his amber, she made her concerns known once again, though this time using her facial expression. "Riley, please... What's wrong?" She didn't like seeing anyone unhappy, but him more than most. He was her boyfriend so of course she wanted to make him happy... He just seemed to have something holding him back.

Well he wouldn't hurt her, she knew that from the time they had spent together so far, but it was surprising. Knowing her hesitation would upset him, she stepped forward once again, wrapping her arms around his neck and gazing into his eyes. "I knew you were different but not that different. But it's okay."

Giving a small squeak as she was lifted into his arms, she very quickly settled down, resting her head on his chest, comfortably lying in his arms. There was a certain feeling of being protected as he held her close, and in some sense, with what he was, she was protected... Though he was much more than that.

Distracted by the sound of his voice, she looked up at his face, smiling softly. "Sure. Sounds fun." There were a lot of oysters down there. Riley was lucky she didn't mind getting a bit dirty.

Carefully picking up the knife that had been placed in front of her, she watched him closely as he worked away at opening the oyster, subconsciously taking in how he was doing it. Picking up an oyster herself, she copied how he was trying to open it, finding it a little difficult but coping.

Eyes catching a shine from one of Riley's oysters, she put down the oyster she had been working on along with the knife then sat down beside him. Speechless as he held the pearl out to her, she could feel her cheeks burning in a blush at the compliment. "It's... beautiful." The milky pink colour reflected in her eyes. She was captivated by it. Delicately taking the pearl from Riley's hands, she wrapped her arms around him, kissing his cheek. "Thank you."

Eyes sparkling with curiousity, she opened up the one she had been working on, not giving up when she didn't find anything inside of it. "How do you know so much about this sort of thing?" She was genuinely interested in how he knew all this. Though it wasn't so much her thing, it wasn't boring.

It was so unexpected. Blushing at Riley's words, she became very bashful for a moment, not sure what to say to answer him. "I- err..." She merely blushed, her cheeks scarlet. She enjoyed his company too, but she was just a little too shy to say anything.
