Hayley's eyes were bright red, as red as her hair, which was the color of blood. She was starving, so thirsty, and she needed something to drink at that moment. She was on the prowl, on the hunt, stalking the city, craving blood at that moment. Her eyes just searched for a victim. Usually, Hayley had great control of her thirst and was able to live peaceful within the human society, nobody having known about her. But when she got too thirsty, that control just went out the window. If a human were to discover her, she would be as good as dead. Or worse, like tortured. Humans don't take well to vampires.

Tyson walked slowly along the pretty much abandoned street, thinking deeply about his girlfriend. He had been with Juliet for almost a year now, but had just found out that she'd been cheating on him for more than half of that time. He was so mad he didn't even know what to do, especially what he would do next time he saw her, or his best friend Jay, the guy Juliet had been cheating on him with. It seemed like the entire world was against him at the moment. His parents were going through a divorce, because his mum was angry at his deadbeat dad, but Tyson didn't know which one he was staying with. Everything was just so unsure and rocky, he wanted to get away from it all. Which is why he was walking down that street, to try and free himself from his insane life for a few hours.

Hayley was resting on the roof of a low building, her eyes scanning the city below her. She heard a soft noise, no human would have heard it from the distance it was away, but she was able to tell what it was. It sounded like some car, going way too fast for its own good. "Stupid humans." She murmured to herself with a sigh. Then her eyes caught something else, quickly looking down and seeing a boy, a teenager rather. Prey. She hopped down silently from her perched spot, walking up behind him, when she heard the car almost on them. She practically tackled the boy, the car flying by them, just barely missing the two.

"Woah!" Tyson cried as he was shoved out of the way of an oncoming car. He landed heavily on the ground, scraping both palms and his left knee. He lay there for a few seconds, breathing deeply to try and retain the breath that had left him when he was pushed. Then, he slowly sat up and twisted to see his savior. She was a girl, somewhere near his age, with deep red hair and matching eyes. "Th-thank you," he stammered to her, before inspecting his injuries. "Not too bad," he murmured to himself, carefully picking off the pieces of gravel that had embedded themselves in his skin.

"You have to watch out when you are out this late at night. Idiots don't watch where they are going, and hit innocent people like yourself." Hayley said, her crimson eyes watching him intently. The scent of his blood was driving her crazy, but she pushed it back enough to be civilized. "Care for me to walk you to wherever you are going? That way we can both have a little bit of company." She said with a slight smile, innocent looking. Everything about her was innocent looking except those strange eyes.

"Yeah, sorry. But some company would be nice, only there's on problem," Tyson held up a finger dramatically, "I have absolutely no idea where I'm going. So umm... You going anywhere? I could accompany you, sort of a vice versa thing?" he asked her, flicking the final bits of gravel off of his hands. "Oh, I'm Tyson by the way, Tyson Cory Long," he held out his slightly bloodstained hand for her to shake. He thought the girl seemed very nice and pretty, but her eye unnerved him a lot. Just the colour of them was creepy. Maybe she was wearing some of those weird coloured contact lenses.
