"How nice of you," Kanar said. He wasn't about to take Jo's words to heart through. He was beginning to trust her more, but he wasn't about to classify her as "undyingly loyal ally."

Jo's grin faded. "I see you don't trust me. Ah, well, it's understandable." She sighed and brightened up again. "Well, you found me, how 'bout some lightsaber techniques?"
"Nothing personal, I just don't trust easily. It's become a bit of a habit," Kanar said. He nodded when Jo mentioned lightsaber techniques, "Ready when you are, but we should probably go outside. I doubt Hondo will appreciate us cutting up his hallways."

"This is all I've got, but if all goes well I won't need thicker clothes," Kanar said. He walked through the halls and outside There was enough space out front in the landing area for them to practice. Hopefully no ships would be coming in.
Kanar took his saber out of his pocket but didn't ignite it yet, "Alright. Where do we start?" he asked.

Jo followed him outside. "I guess this will have to do." She pulled out her yellow saber and ignited it. "We'll just start with the basics, let's see your stance, balance, ect."
Kanar ignited his saber and got into his stance, two hands on his saber, ready to spring. He took a deep breath, ready for whatever Jo was about to throw at him. He had a feeling she wasn't the kind of teacher who just sat back and spoke instructions to her students.

Jo glanced at Kanar. "Good stance." She jumped forward more slowley than her usual fighting speed. She slashed at his saber in a downward motion. She saw him leaning back just a bit, but it was enough. "A bit unbalanced though." She swirled her leg around behind him and kicking his ankle. "You wouldn't stand a chance against the Jedi." She tripped him and stood back, giving him time to recover.
