Britta caught up with Jedi in the hallway,
"Good morning," she said, nodding, "Ready to go out and catch some mildly insane former Jedi?"
She couldn't help but smile a little.

(I only recently discovered that song but already I love it. I felt like it fit Britta pretty well since she's put aside her prejudices against the light and dark sides of the Force and wants others to see that they aren't so different. :3)

Jedi smiled. "Sure, why not. Which ship shall we take?"

(Don't worry, it doesn't really concern Jedi or Britta and you'll see what it is eventually. :3)

Britta thought a moment,
"Actually, all we'll need are two speeders. Those will be enough to get us into the underworld. And besides, all the ships here are of Jedi make. They would be far too obvious," she said, "I hope you have a cloak of some kind. You stand out like a gundark in the Senate building, my friend."

(So I saw that Kat quit. Now the bad guys are going to outnumber the good guys. In Threepio's words, "We're doomed." D8)

OOC: I think I'll stick with Jedi. I don't want any more of my fanfic characters finding their way here, so as not to spoil anything.

Jedi grinned. "I have a black cloak, but would that be too.... Jedi like?"

"Black is a common enough color. I think you'll be fine," Britta said, "Just keep your head down. Your species must be pretty rare since I've been all over the galaxy and I've never seen anything like you before. You're bound to turn some heads. I'm going to get my cloak out of my ship. Meet me outside the Temple. I won't be long."
She turned and started walking towards the hangar.

Jedi quickly ran back up to his room and rifled about through his drawers, finding his one article of clothing. He fastend it about his neck and, wishing he could douse his glow like Jo, he ran back down the stairs.

Britta grabbed her cloak out of her ship and slipped it on. It was not of Jedi design. No, she'd learned long ago that Jedi cloaks were not good for blending in. Her new cloak was more ornate than her old Jedi one with subtle patterns on the fabric of Iridonian origin. It would hopefully help her blend in a little better.

She walked out of the Temple and stopped in front of the front stairway to wait for Jedi. She looked out across the city, remembering where she'd gotten a speeder the last time she was here. There was a rental shop near the top of the underworld. The speeders' origins were...questionable and the modifications were probably illegal, but she couldn't doubt their quality. And besides, taking Temple issue speeders would make them stand out.

Jedi jumped over the last flight of stairs and landed at the bottom. "Ready?" he asked. "And where do we get our speeders?"

"I know a place. Follow me," Britta said.

She led Jedi out into the streets of Coruscant. The closer they got to the underworld, the darker and more dingy the place became. Neon lights became the only light source on the streets as they went deeper. Shady characters wandered around. The places near the underworld were dangerous enough. Britta wondered how Jedi would handle the underworld it's self.

"We're here. Just let me do the talking," Britta said as they came up on a shop with a faded sign and an old speeder sitting out front. She walked into the shop and her nose wrinkled at the smell of fuel and hot metal. She could hear someone working on a speeder in the back. Speeders and pieces of them littered the edges and corners of the shop. There wasn't much room to walk.

Britta walked up to the front counter where a plump Trandoshan sat. He looked up when she approached,
"What do you want?" he asked, setting the data pad he was looking at aside.
"I'm looking to rent two speeder bikes for a couple of days," Britta said.
"A rental? We don't rent here," the Trandoshan said, looking back at his data pad.
"I'm sure I could make it worth your wile," Britta said. She flashed a handful of credits at the Trandoshan, "If the speeders get damaged in any way I'll pay you extra for your trouble."
The Trandoshan raised an eyebrow at the credits and put his datapad down,
"Let me see what I have in the back," he said. He got up and waddled towards the back. He motioned for Britta and Jedi to follow. Britta smirked at Jedi and followed the Trandoshan into the back.
