Kanar knew in the more rational side of his brain that Cossan was right. If he kept trying to fight it wasn't going to end well for him. That much was obvious. But the more irrational part of him refused to go down without a fight.
"You always have a choice," he said.

He glanced at Alanna and raised an eyebrow slightly as if to say, "What?"

[Quail]

Alanna looked at him, again as if to say, "What do you want me to do about it?"

Cossan tilted his head to the side, crossing his arms. "Yet that little voice in the back of your head is telling you to stop, to just give in and live to fight another day. Isn't it Kanar?" He smirked, feeling glad he had taken Behavioral Science before. It was a fun way to mess with people's heads.

Kanar snorted,
"Don't act like you can read my mind," he said with a slight smirk, "Anyone in my situation would have a thought like that. It doesn't take a genius to figure that out."

Cossan shrugged, still smirking. "But I'm right Kanar. So, what will it be? What's your choice?"

"Get arrested or stay and die? I'm going to go with none of the above, thank you," Kanar said. He let go of the wall and started to back towards the exit.

Cossan twirled his knife and walked forward slowly, taunting Kanar to come back and fight. Frankly, there was nothing he'd like more than to kill this man, he murdered his entire wing and almost himself. "Big mistake."

Kanar knew he'd have to run. He only hoped that he could manage it in his state. He looked at the knife in Cossan's hand. As it rotated in the man's hand, Kanar held his own hand and ripped the knife out of Cossan's hand with the Force. The hilt sailed into his hand and he promptly threw it as hard as he could into the piles of machine parts that had been formed in the chaos. Then he turned and raced out the door of the shop as fast as he could.

Pain lanced through his stomach as he raced down the streets. He grimaced and hoped that he could find somewhere to hide. He knew he couldn't keep this up for long.

(What's funny is he's still not going to escape.)

Cossan growled as the knife left his hand but he sprang forward anyways, leaping through the chaos of flying machine parts and other bits and bobs, he managed to find his dagger and burt out of the cloud of metal, dashing close behind Kanar. "You idiot, you know you can't outrun me in your state." He shouted after him, increaing his speed.

Jedi, unconcerned with his lack of air, just pushed Alana into a bucket of bolts with the Force. XD When he regained use of his throat, he said to Cossan "Yes, I know, but it just isn't right. We must give him a chance." He looked towards Alana. "Her, though, we have given chances to."

OOC: And BTW, Xanos are flame-retardant for up to 3 seconds, can focus their minds very well even in extreme pain, and can sustain heavy blood loss, but sometimes they pass out easier as to conserve their blood. Jedi just happens to now be able to keep that instinct in check, as you saw on Shili. He wasn't that lucky in his first duel. XD
