Just like any other day, England was sitting at the huge table in the equally huge conference room. Unlike his usual seat in the back — that he normally chose to stay away from a certain loud-mouthed country — he was now seated near the front. He didn't know why exactly he chose that spot. Maybe the blond wanted a new view of the room. Or, maybe, he was tired of being near France — though he had a feeling said nation would follow him. Though, in reality, he wanted a change. Not exactly a change in seating arrangements or people to be around, but change between him and America. The two had fought — well, the green-eyed male called it fighting — for much too long.

"Bloody hell. They sure are late today," England commented softly to himself, looking at the clock on the wall. He had gotten there a little over ten minutes ago, wanting to be the first one in the conference room. Why? He didn't have the slightest clue. Bragging rights, most likely. "They should all be here soon enough, I suppose..."

America smiled as he walked up the stairs to the conference room. He had about three hamburgers in his hand, an ice cream cone, and of course cola. "Huh." he said in between mouthfuls to himself. "I'm a bit early... Cool! Now I get to boast and tell everyone that I'm on time for once!" he said munching and spitting bits of burger everywhere. "I hope I'm the first one! That would be so bad*ss!" he said as he shoved the rest of the burgers and ice cream in hi mouth. He burts through the door and went to his usual seat, which was right next to England. This is gonna be awkward... "Yo England!" he said in between mouthfuls.

England narrowed his eyes more in disgust than annoyance — though annoyance was part of it. He sighed lightly, giving up in a way. "Hello America." Instead of annoyance in his tone — which was a usual occurrence — the blond's voice was calm and even. See? I can change whenever I want. Given the fact that going from one viewpoint of a person to the opposite is rather hard, England was pulling it off fairly well. He eyed the other country. "That's rather unattractive." He shrugged right after saying it. "Just thought I'd tell you that."

America chomped down the rest of his burger and drank his coca-cola. He scratched his wheat blonde head and looked at England. "Are you still mad at me? Because I said sorry... I didn't mean to stand you up. I was just.... busy. I lost track of time." America's expression turned a little more serious, but he still had a light-hearted glint in his eyes as he stared into England's green ones.
