Two vampire clans, to be exactly and they were at war because of a few reasons:
- Versailles is a Christian clan, Malice Mizer a Satanistic one;
- Versailles posses a weapon that Malice Mizer wants;
- Veresailles is a pure-blood clan, Malice Mzier is not;
- Malice Mizer knows the way to get eternal life and is not intending to share this knowledge with Versailles;

Versailles
is a Chirstian vampire clan which is quite the contradiction. They all are great artists and live in a palace filled with art and music instruments. They have a sword that controls the balance of the universe, so is said and they are the direct descendants of Dracula.
Malice Mizer
is the Satanistic clan that have a wide knowledge of alchemy and wittchcraft and in the clan is only one pure-blood, which is the clanleader who is worshipped by the others of the clan because he is the one that made the others vampires. There are still a few humans in this clan, however, but they mainly function as maids. Malice Mizer knows how to get eternal life but are still busy with the potion.

- Have super human strengt and speed;
- Do not burn in sunlight, they jsut get a headache;
- Cannot set foot on holy grounds;
- Cannot cross running water;
- When thirsty, their eyes turn red;
- Cannot taste other food than blood;
- Can sense by eachother's blood where they are and if somethign is wrong;
- Can enter every house to which they are invited or have once been invited;
- Cannot touch holy objects;
- Do not have to turn someone into a vampire when ibting them, also they do not have to kill them;
- Do not have a reflection;
