Genie felt her breath coming in short ragged intakes. "Just breathe..." She thought.

Jax snickered when he noticed that as well. "You know, you crossed the border off Sanders' territory," he spoke finally.

Genie yelped in surprise. "how was I supposed to know?!" She snappede as she realized who it was.

"Their scent stops," Jax informed her, his appearance and tone calm.

"I-i-I shifted back before o crossed."

"Doesn't matter, you should have noticed. Your seenses are heightened even while you're Human," Jax said with a shrug. He twitched his ears slightly, looking away from her before disappearing a few trees over. He returned to her sight a few moments later, his posture stiffened slightly now, eyes flaring. He barely contained the small growl that wanted to escape him. "Since your not in the Fire Light's territory anymore, you're not regulated protection," he said, his tone hard and cold. But I can't touch her without her finding out. He sniffed, once again avoiding the fault and heading back towards the city. "But I have places to be rather than wasting my time with an ignorant high school werewolf," he said, not sparing her a glance as he continued on his way, "But I'm not the only one after you, so I wouldn't be out here much longer." His tone was still cold as he spoke, and he swiftly moved past her, half hoping to be able to touch her, half not because she didn't need to know.

Genie slumped against a tree, his words finally registering before he got too far. "Wait.. What do you mean, you're not the oly one after me? What your you planning, Jackson!!" She snapped, fear obvious in her eyes.

Jax snickered. "Please, Mark is future Alpha and your guys' relationship is known by more than just myself. Technically, if you guys stay together thay is, you're Luna-to-be," he told her, stopping but not facing her.

Genie felt as if her hear was ripped friom her chest or the second time this night. "W-we-we broke up.." She said quietly. She waited for the tears to fall but none had fallen this time.

Jax smirked. "Oh, well, that's too bad," his tone held no sympathy whatsoever as he turned slightly to face her. "But if that was your doing, then I have no doubt that ... y'know you should just keep an eye open."
