Guardians

Long ago, there where a small group of being with powers. Through time, this group stayed unnoticed as generations pasted. But recently, somehow the government found out. The government wanted nothing more than to kill these people, convinced they wanted to take over the human race. Once word got the elders of this people, the elders created something called a guardian for each one. The guardians where animals, huge animals, that would protect their person with their life. Each person could speak to their guardian back and forth inside their heads, but no one could speak to another's guardian. Owner and Guardian where given matching crystals. Some wore them as bracelets, other necklaces; everyone wore them their own way. If this crystal was damaged or lost, the connection between the pair was lost. If the guardian was killed, the person could live on, but if the person was killed, the guardian would die, unable to go on.
After everyone was assigned their own guardian, a place was chosen that was surrounded by mountains and forests. The people lived here peacefully for around 3 generations, every baby getting their own guardian upon birth. Then, the military found them. They did the unspeakable. They attacked, and held nothing back. They destroyed the place they lived, and almost killed out the whole population. 6 where able to get away safely with their guardians.
This is where our story takes place now, following these 6 as the search for a safe place to live. Can they face what the world throws at them? Or will the task of living in the wild become to great? Only time can tell...

Jacob is a really laid back guy. He isn't one to fight, though he knows how to fight a little, he chooses not to. He can be a really kind guy, once you get to know him that is. Until he lets you in, he can seem kinda cold, but its only because he has been burned before, and chooses not to be again. He really only likes to spend time with Blaze, but will spend time with other people when he finds your a good soul.

Personality:
Ever is a sweet and innocent soul. She can be really bubbly and child-like, but most of the time she is just shy and quite. She loves books and music, just as much as she loves Luna. At night Ever and Luna can be found curled up somewhere, either with Ever reading to Luna, or both of them listening to music. Ever is very tender-hearted and is upset easily.

Ever always has a book or two and mp3(she has one of the old ones that takes batteries) with her in the small black and green backpack she carries with her everywhere.

However, most people will meet her as a cold and serious girl.

Jacob awoke when a heavy paw landed on his back. Rolling around he realized it was only Blaze moving in his sleep. Jacob moved around until he was again comfortable; pressing his back to Blaze's side, and using one of the bear's furry arms as a pillow. Jacob sighed. He knew he wouldn't get back to sleep. Feeling Blaze move, Jacob spoke in a low murmur. "Blaze.. You awake?" "Yha.. I'm awake. Why are you up so early.?" The reply came in Jacob's head. and he rolled over to look up at the large polar bear. "I woke up, and I know I'm not gonna be able to get back to sleep. Ever since we made it out of that fight.. Sleeping on the ground has sucked." Blaze nodded at him, and suddenly moved. He rolled slightly to lean a paw down and scoop up Jacob, and placed the human on his belly. Jacob moved to lay on his stomach and smiled at Blaze. "Thanks, Blaze." The bear gave a nod, and both closed their eyes again.

Ever was wide awake. Had been since before dawn, and dawn was just now coming. Ever and Luna lay about 3 yards away from Jacob and Blaze. Luna was laying down, with her head on her paws, and her side against a tree. Ever had her back pressed into Luna's side, and was using her as a prop while she read. During the fight, the girl only had enough time to grab her backpack. Luckily the backpack held 3 of Ever and Luna's favorite books; The Dark is Rising, the third volume of the Night World books, and Hold Still. Ever now sat reading The Dark is Rising. Luna was listening intently although Ever has read the book to her before.
