"No, I'm not 'okay.'" Caitlyn replied. "I don't think you know that some of Rafael's Speical Guard came and took over my estates." She got up and she was shaking. "They've threatened to shoot Warner and all my slaves and I really don't want my slaves or Warner getting hurt."
"So just turn him back in." the captian said simply, taking the two weapons from him to give Caitlyn her sidearm back. 'Shouldn't be too hard, I'll contact them at your estate to tell them where we are and they can take custody and you can have your slaves back." He turned to his soldiers. "You two, get going! Their should be a patrol with a radio nearby, I wasn't able to grab mine before the Old Man had us on our feet. I'll stay here with the lady and slave."
The two soldiers egarly ran off into the trees, the sound of their running fading into the regular sounds of rustling leaves and and chittering animals.
"Alright, it should only be another 10 minutes untill we can get som confrimation about what to do and.."
The captain never finished his sentence. Caitlyn gun saftey had already been clicked offf and the barrel had been leveled at the captain's head as he turned to look away. the sound of the shot was loud, scaring away animals in the area, but not loud enough to bring waves of soldiers down on her head.
Caitlyn took a step back, her face pale. If the Major of Rafael's Speical Guard was alerted to her presence, she would have to suffer through a fate worse than death, with the two soldiers off she knew someone would be coming soon. And by shooting the Army captain, she had just put a death warrant on her own head. Though she hoped the any troops the Major wasn't sending to come a chase her down would be to preoccupied with other things to harrass her slaves...
She stood looking at Andrew, torn between wanting to run away from what she just did, and wanting to stay to see if she could enlist his help.
So, against her better judgement she went a little way away toa stream and took a rag from the now dead captain and put the thing against the small bump now forming on his head, she cleanied it off, seeing to it had not injured him baddly. Caitlyn gently nudged him, hoping he would awaken soon and fearing what he might do when he awoke.
