"Alright." Rainpaw meowed, following close behind Gingerpelt. "That sounds like a good plan." She meowed cheerfully. As they continued to walk toward the training hollow she opened her mouth to see if she could scent even the faintest trace of prey. So far she didn't smell anything yet, but she continued to keep her senses alert. That was when Rainpaw smelled something that she knew was a mouse, and quietly started to get in her couching position.
Nightstar heaved out a long sigh once he was outside of the medicine cat den, wondering what he should do now. I might as well go hunting to get the clan ready for leaf-bare. Even though leaf-bare was far from now, he was the type of cat who liked to be prepared earlier when it was required to be ready. He quietly padded out of the camp, making sure that he didn't make a sound. Even the softest sound of his paws thudding on the earthy ground could scare away the prey.
"Alright then." Dappleheart meowed in response to Kestralstar's comment. "Yeah, she is going to need her ceremony soon. Your idea will work well. But you should probably tell Mapleleaf beforehand so that she'll have an idea of what's going on later." She suggested, knowing that that would probably be the best thing to do before Swankit's ceremony. She wondered what Swankit would think once she knew that she would become the medicine cat apprentice. Dappleheart's eyes wandered off toward the nursery
When Pantherpaw had reached the medicine cat den he noticed that Mapleleaf wasn't there. He sighed slightly and set down the herbs that he had gathered. I might as well sort the ones I have collected while I am still here... He decided, knowing that if he did this it would help Mapleleaf a little. He started a small pile of each plant. Pantherpaw began the sorting after the piles had been started.
"That's good to hear." Swankit meowed gently in response to Mapleleaf's comment. When she heard her name being called by another she-cat she curiously looked over in the direction of their voice. After a few moments her blue-green eyes returned toward Mapleleaf's gaze. "I'm doing great, thank you for asking." She meowed thoughtfully. Swankit patiently waited for her response.
Silentheart nodded, grateful that Smallpaw had started to finish what she had begun working on. She examined what Smallpaw had completed so far for a few moments. "You've done a great job so far." She meowed, praising to her apprentice. She sat down beside Smallpaw and started to bathe her fur. Finally Silentheart's fur would get the chance to be even the slightest bit cleaner than t had been.

(( It's alright. ^^ And okay. :3 ))
Rainpaw took each paw step as if she were hiding from a fox. She did not want to mess her one chance up at impressing her mentor. She silently hid behind some bushes making sure her target did not see her coming. That was when she waited for the prey to come closer. Rainpaw knew that if she pounced when they were too far away then she would be too late. She pounced on the mouse and took a swift bite on their neck.
"You have a point there." Dappleheart murmured in agreement. "Swanpaw and Mapleleaf seem to get along very well together. So that's a bonus if she does end up becoming Mapleleaf's apprentice." She commented after glancing over at the two cats. Dappleheart had really never thought of Swanpaw becoming a Medicine Cat until now. She seemed to be perfect for this ranking.
Silentheart nodded graciously when she heard Smallpaw's thanks. "Your welcome." She mewed gently in response. She truly enjoyed having an apprentice. She couldn't imagine not having one. The feeling of being alone just didn't appeal to Silentheart at all.
"What's it like to be a medicine cat?" Swankit mewed gently. She had always wondered what it was like to be one. To have the opportunity to heal other cats and to make new friends while doing it sounded amazing. She smiled slightly at the thought of helping others. Then Swankit glanced at Mapleleaf.
Nightstar noticed Rainpaw and Gingerpelt, guessing that he was assessing her hunting skills. He saw the mouse clenched in her teeth and smiled. Gingerpelt must have been doing a great job if she was able to catch a mouse that well. He padded off further to the right of where they were. Then Nightstar's green eyes looked around for any hint of movement.
Pantherpaw began to put all of the Poppy seeds he gathered into one pile. Then he put the catmint he found into the next one. After that he continued sorting the other herbs. He couldn't name all of them, but he knew a few. Pantherpaw continued to sort them as he waited for Mapleleaf.

"Thank you." Rainpaw mewed followed by a nod. "Yeah... I can be a bit slow at hunting sometimes. It's one of my downsides. I tend to think too much while stalking prey. It's just a bad habit, really." Rainpaw said regretfully.
"Of course I will." Dappleheart said, her voice full of honesty. The clan having a new medicine cat apprentice was a big deal. The last time there was a new medicine apprentice was when she was only a kit. She hardly remembered it and she was determined to see this ceremony. "I'll go ahead and check now." Dappleheart mewed, dipping her head in respect. She diligently began to scan the area.
Silentheart began to purr slightly. "So what were you talking about with Nightstar?" She asked her apprentice. She wasn't trying to sound pushy or anything. She knew that she could trust Smallpaw to make the right decisions. Silentheart licked her paw while waiting for Smallpaw to respond.
"Oh... okay. That's understandable." Swanpaw mewed in response to what Mapleleaf had mentioned. Then another question began to form in her mind. She couldn't help but ask it. "Is it hard to memorize so many herbs?" Swanpaw asked Mapleleaf curiously.
Pantherpaw impatiently began to twitch his tail. He started to wonder what Mapleleaf was doing now. He had been waiting for quite a while. So it was only natural to begin to get curious. Pantherpaw sighed slightly and continued to sort the herbs into neat piles.
