King listened, but his displeasure was clear in his ears.

Nick finished tacking up Steel and began to put his bridle on.

[Springsteen]

Tina stopped him and dismounted

Steel snorted, tossing his head up, refusing to take the bit

[Actually.A.Herondale]

"C'mon, Steel..." Nick grumbled.


King lowered his head and exhaled deeply, as if he was sighing. He was still breathing deeply from running the barrels.

[Springsteen]

Steel snorted and pinned his ears back

Tina lead King into the barn

[Actually.A.Herondale]

King stopped at the door of barn, and refused to move forward.

"I don't have all day..." Nick growled, trying again to get him to take the bit.

[Springsteen]

Tina sighed, "Come on." she said, pulling him in

Steel snorted, then turned to see Tina. He nickered and watched them

Nick tried to use the distraction to slip the bit in his mouth.

King still refused, and instead, tryed to take a step backwards.

[Springsteen]

Steel snorted and tossed his head into the air

Tina sighed and loosened his girth, wondering if that would help

[Actually.A.Herondale]

"Is his chest warm?" Nick asked, still trying to get the bridle on. "If you put him in the stall when he's still warm, it could ruin him. Not sure how, because no one told me how, but it's bad for them."

[Springsteen]

Tina nodded and checked his chest to see if he was warm, "Did you ever try to put a little bit of honey on the bit?" she asked

Steel snorted and kept his head up
