Christina pulled her hair back away from her eyes, watching quietly as he made his way over to her. He seemed somewhat shocked, but the warmth in his voice soothed her, and she felt her tense muscles begin to relax slightly. A shaky sigh of relief escaped her. Christina managed to make a small nod, to indicate her agreement. "How long?" she asked quietly. "How long have you been out here?" Her voice cracked. Christina felt like a child. She wanted to cry to her mother, but she knew she couldn't, because she was dead. Her father would be worried, her stepmother trying to calm him while worrying over the girl who never let her guard down. And her brothers... They would be shocked, maybe making a joke out of it at first. They wouldn't realize how real this was for the first night, until the next morning came and she wouldn't be there. They would have no one to nag, no one to make fun of in the playful way they always did. This made Christina feel even worse. What if she could never go back?
The question kept trying to seep into her nerves and send her over the edge, and she hardly managed to keep it pressed to the back of her thoughts. Relax. She told herself, forcing her breathing to slow down so that she didn't feel like her heart was about to pound out of her chest.

Logan let his gaze wander over her body until it came to a rest at her leg. He managed not to grimace. It looked pretty bad, in his eyes. His gaze flickered back to her face as she spoke, which he found to be pretty, despite the bruises and cuts. He raised an eyebrow curiously, when she mentioned having been on the move for three whole days, if not more. The nearest town, where he lived, was only a few hours from here, by foot, which made him wonder where she was from.
He had been about to respond when she spoke again. Her words sent a chill down his spine. This confirmed his suspicions that she had abusive parents, and probably friends to. "You could come home with me." he offered kindly. His parents were aware of his ability, and supported him completely. They had a plan for if anyone became suspicious of him, and were also somewhat on the more wealthy side. Not filthy rich, but they had a god amount of spare money, which would explain why he looked so nice. Most people were always saying that his family was perfect. His parents had been married for nearly twenty years. He was the oldest of three, and his house was always looking nice. So yes, at first, his family would look perfect, though they did have their imperfections. His siblings and him argued constantly, like most did, and his parents weren't necessarily big softie's, though they were never abusive.
Logan looked at her with a concealed curiosity. His eyes were impassive at the moment, not showing his true emotions.
