Seth took her gently by the arm and pulled her beside him, then shot her boyfriend a dirty look. He turned back to the girl. "Come on, let's get you cleaned up," he murmured, leading her to his house and just away from the guy overall. Whatever had happened, Seth was positive it hadn't been good. The bloody lip was evidence enough. If there was one thing that absolutely made Seth's blood boil, it was a man hurting a woman, in any way. He hated it more than almost anything.
Piper looked up as a black Volvo rolled up beside her. She raised an eyebrow. "I dunno, stranger danger..." she teased. She knew it was Zac; they'd talked a bit before, but never really had the chance to become friends. She leaned her elbows on the rim on the open window. "Where ya headed to?"
