Gingerpaw rolled his eyes and stalked off, but Autumnpaw looked at her brother. "Its alright Hawkpaw."

Greystar jumped onto Highrock. "All cats old enough to catch their own prey gather under Highrock for a Clan meeting!" He yowled.

[walk.]

Hawkpaw nodded and mewed, "Thanks for understanding Autumnpaw, at least you know the saying, forgive and forget!" he ran over and got a decent seat by high rock.

[wolf ;;]

Autumnpaw followed her brother and sat next to him, and she twitched an ear. "Don't worry, they'll all forgive you soon." She meowed.

"Today is a special day, today we shall have four apprentices become warriors." Greystar meowed. "Firepaw, Coldpaw, Yellowpaw and Daisypaw, come forward."

Coldpaw and Firepaw both ran forward.

[walk.]

Hawkpaw nodded and mewed, "I sure hope so....." he sighed and mewed, "Not us becoming warriors then...."

Daisypaw glared at Hawkpaw and ran forward, swiftly followed by Yellowpaw.

[wolf ;;]

"Don't worry, it will be our turn soon enough." Autumnpaw meowed.

"I, Greystar, leader of NightClan, call upon my warrior ancestors to look down on these apprentices. They have trained hard to understand the ways of your noble code, and I commend them to you as warriors in their turn. Coldpaw, Firepaw, Daisypaw and Yellowpaw, do you promise to uphold the warrior code and to protect and defend your Clan, even at the cost of your life?" Greystar meowed.

"I do." Coldpaw meowed calmly.

"I do!" Firepaw purred.

[walk.]

Yellowpaw mewed, "Well duh, yep of course I do Greystar!"

Daisypaw kept her head bowed and mewed solemly, "I do."

Hawkpaw nodded sadly and looked up to the bright sky above them.

“Then by the powers of StarClan, I give you your warrior names. Coldpaw, from this moment you will be known as Coldgaze. StarClan honors your strength and courage, and we welcome you as a full warrior of NightClan. Firepaw, from this moment you will be known as Firepetal. StarClan honors your kindness and spirit, and we welcome you as a full warrior of NightClan. Daisypaw, from this moment you will be known as Daisyflower. StarClan honors your honesty and loyalty, and we welcome you as a full warrior of NightClan. Yellowpaw, from this moment you will be known as Yellowsparrow. StarClan honors your courage and bravery, and we welcome you as a full warrior of NightClan." Greystar announced, and he jumped down from Highrock. He put his muzzle on Coldgaze’s head and the white tom licked his shoulder, then the leader put his muzzle on Firepetal and the flame coloured tabby she-cat licked Greystar’s shoulder. Greystar then put his muzzle on Daisyflower’s head.

Shadepaw had sat at the back, while Greystar was putting his muzzle on the new warriors heads, she turned and padded out of camp silently, Sandyfern saw her and followed her.

[walk.]

The yellowy ginger and white patched she cat sat earnestly and licked her leader with a gentle lick and she smiled lightly at him. Yellowsparrow licked Greystar excitedly yet wisely. Emberheart congratulated his old apprentice with a lick on the forehead but then noticed his mate and children and padded cautiously after them.

Firepetal flicked an ear, and Greystar ended the meeting. "Wow! Warriors, finally!" Coldgaze purred.

Shadepaw padded deeper into the forest, Sandyfern still followed her.

[walk.]

Yellowsparrow nodded excitedly but Daisyflower just nodded and padded towards the warriors den. Yellowsparrow looked at her, shrugging.


Emberheart silently padded after his mate and child, wondering what was going on.
