Hazelstream nodded and flicked her tail. Swallowpaw blinked his eyes and looked at his dentate. Sparrowpaw stopped walking and looked at the others. "I scent two dogs heading this way."

Rosepetal glanced around camp.

[walk.]

Gremlinstorm sniffed and mewed, "Right, ok then Swallowpaw, but would be you first plan of action in this situation?"

Pondweed came out of the medicine den.

[wolf ;;]

Rosepetal sat down and sighed.

Swallowpaw was about to speak. "Its too late for that!" Hazelstream hissed as the two large dogs came into view.

[walk.]

Pondweed looked at his mother and mewed, "Are you alright?"

Gremlinstorm snarled and said, "You three, get up that tree!" Hawkpaw nodded and skitted up the large oak that stood behind them.

[wolf ;;]

Swallowpaw scurried up after Hawkpaw, but Sparrowpaw shook her head. "I'm fighting!"

Rosepetal looked up, then she nodded. "I am, I'm just worried about one of Angel's kits."

[walk.]

Gremlinstorm snarled at her and mewed, "Go up the tree Sparrowpaw, NOW!"

Pondweed cocked his head and mewed, "Why, what's wrong with it?"

[wolf ;;]

Rosepetal flicked her tail. "Its the male calico." She meowed. "Male calicos are rare, most that are born die at birth, and if they don't, then they have weak immune systems." She meowed. "If that kit has a weak immune system, he won't survive to warriorhood."

"NO!" Sparrowpaw meowed, and the two large dogs snarled and lunged at the cats. Sparrowpaw leaped and landed on one of the dogs backs.

[walk.]

Pondweed mewed, "We'll keep him as safe from harm and illness as possible.... Angel will be crushed if he doesn't survive...."

Gremlinstorm roared and rammed into the other dog and it crashed into the tree. The dog barked at him and Gremlinstorm hissed, his anger scent flooded the hollow and Hawkpaw squeaked, he looked over to Swallowpaw and mewed, "Should we help?"

[wolf ;;]

"I don't know." Swallowpaw meowed. Hazeldance watched Gremlinstorm, then her ears perked up as she saw Sparrowpaw disappear from sight, the dog she had been fighting was chasing her.

Rosepetal nodded, and she blinked her eyes. "Has Angel named her kits yet?"

[walk.]

Gremlinstorm mewed, "Hawkpaw, go after her!" Without hesitation the young tom bounced down from the tree and sped after Sparrowpaw. Gremlinstorm aimed a front paw swipe at the dog.

Pondweed shrugged and mewed, "I've been so busy with the herbs I haven't seen her.... This is why I need an apprentice...."
