Sparrowpaw nodded, and she watched Hawkpaw pad away.

Morningrain padded swiftly through the forest until she reached the river, she sat down and sighed before she gazed sadly into the water.

[walk.]

Hawkpaw sighed and padded into the apprentice's den and flopped down onto his next which he shared with Brazenpaw, because of the lack of beds and space. He shut his eyes the opened them again. He really liked Sparrowpaw and really wanted to impress her but nothing was working. She was always in the wrong place at the wrong time.

Bluewhisker padded slowly forward and sat down beside her. He waited a few moments before mewing, "We were both disappointed today huh...." he sighed and stared at his reflection in the water, kicking a few pebbles into the current with his front paws.

Shadepaw was sitting in the apprentices den, and she looked at Hawkpaw and she flicked her tail. "You like Sparrowpaw don't you?"

Morningrain looked at Bluewhisker and she flicked a ear as she looked at the tom. "What are you disappointed about?" She asked.

Hawkpaw looked over and sighed and mewed, "I guess I do yeah... What about you Shadepaw, you must like someone!" he chortled lightly and stared up at the ceiling.

Bluewhisker looked over at her at mewed, "That Larksong and I have been living in the dark forest and we didn't even know, that our leader was willing to kill cats to get his own way, even kin. I think it is just awful...."

[wolf ;;]

Shadepaw snorted. "Me? Like someone? Even if I did, why would anyone like me?" She meowed. "Anyway, if you like Sparrowpaw, just tell her."

Morningrain nodded in agreement. "I guess so." She meowed. "I didn't know Yewclaw was willing to kill any cat just for power. Just because he didn't become deputy."

[walk.]

Hawkpaw sighed and mewed, "Yeah, like I would do that. I may be confident on the battle field but when it comes to my love life, I have no confidence. Shadepaw, if you just weren't so..... Timid then you would have loads of friends."

Bluewhisker nodded and placed his head on his paws. He just said, "Well, he's out of my life now....."

Shadepaw looked at her brother. "I'm not timid! I can prove it!" She meowed.

Morningrain nodded, and she flicked her tail before she scented the air.

Hawkpaw sighed and mewed, "You might not be now, but you were as a Kit!"

Bluewhisker muttered something under his breath and mewed, "What do you smell Morningrain?"

Shadepaw flickered her tail and she shrugged. "So what, every cat is like that once in their life."

"Nothing, just forest." Morningrain meowed.

Hawkpaw shook his head and mewed, "I won't be! I will always stay strong!"

Bluewhisker shook his head and mewed, "You are mistaken...." a rustling came from the bushes and their appeared a light golden amber she cat with three kits in her jaws and mewed, "Please take them!" Bluewhisker nodded and took the kits from the she cat. She ran away swiftly. Bluewhisker looked down at his three nephews and murmered, "I'll find someone to look after you.... Swiftkit, Windkit, Applekit...."
