Morningrain hissed and scrambled to her paws, her eyes blazed with anger. "You coward." She snarled, tail lashing. "I should kill you here right now, but at least I am loyal to the warrior code. You don't deserve to live, look at what you've done to your own brother...how could you do that? Does't kin mean anything to you?"

Willowbreeze looked at Shimmerfur, then she padded over to Flareleap.

Nightshadow yowled and thrashed around, Moonheart slashed at the dark forest deputies face.

[walk.]

Yewclaw snarled and spat, "Duststrike has only ever held me back and now he is out of the way I can have all I have wanted for SO many years! POWER MORNINGRAIN, POWER!!!! I stayed loyal for as long as I could bear it, if I had become deputy, things would have been so much different and better for you!" his fur bristled and his whiskers twitched angrily, tail lashing back and forth.

Flareleap looked up and mewed, "I'm alright, that just shocked me, that's all....." she stood shakily to her feet and gave her kits a nod.

Emberheart said, "Leave now Nightshadow, I won't kill you but if you don't leave, I will."

"POWER ISN'T EVERYTHING!" Morningrain spat. "Maybe thats why cats didn't choose you as deputy, because they knew you would lead this Clan to bloodshed because all you cared about was power, nothing else, and I pity you." She snarled. "You think its fun to kill? You want to watch your Clanmates get killed? After all the Clan has done for you!" She spat. "You could've maybe had a family and kits if you never let your power thirst cloud your eyes!"

"Good." Willowbreeze meowed, and she flickered her tail.

Nightshadow snarled and he got to his paws. "I'm not here to fight you Emberheart." He growled, and he ran off. Patchfang growled when he saw the dark forest deputy. "Looking for me? Come and get me!" He meowed and he ran to Highrock, Nightshadow hissed and ran after the tom.

[walk.]

Yewclaw snarled, "Of course it isn't fun to kill you idiot, I HATE IT! But I will overcome, then crush EVERY obstacle in my way! I only came to finish Duststrike and I have fulfilled my wish and you are NOT my clan mates. Power does not cloud me but I never wanted a family and some cats choose that Morningrain, it is not every male's dream to have a beautiful mate and perfect kits, some just have a destiny to fulfill otherwise they will suffer far worse than death....." he sighed and mewed, "You wouldn't understand how I need to Morningrain. If not..... he said he'd find me, he said he would torture me.... I want a family more than anything but I needed to become a leader so he could get his wish......"

Flareleap mewed, "We need to get the kits to higher ground, now the door is ruined we are completely at risk from attack, maybe we could get up the waterfall?" Shimmerfur frowned and mewed, "That is too far...."

Emberheart cocked his head and shrugged, he wasn't sure what to do, and where was Greystar?!

Morningrain growled and she stared at her paws, but her tail lashed. "Who cares Yewclaw, you only care about yourself, you never cared for anyone else. Everyone else will hate you after this, even talking to a evil cat is called betraying your own Clan, I would rather die then kill another cat." She snarled, but her voice was full of sadness as she looked at Yewclaw, tears flooded her gaze, then she turned her head as she heard a yowl, and she saw that Nightshadow had pinned Patchfang and was biting the tom on the neck. Morningrain glared at Yewclaw, then she slashed the tom on the face before she ran over to Nightshadow and Patchfang, bowling Nightshadow off before he could kill Patchfang. "Hello Morningrain." Nightshadow meowed, and Morningrain growled. "Move out of the way and let me finish off that pathetic cat you call a warrior." Nightshadow snapped. "Why don't you make me." Morningrain growled. The two cats glared at each other, then Morningrain lunged at Nightshadow.

Smallfrost glanced around, but she yowled as Boulderclaw leaped onto her back and crushed her to the ground.

"You two try to get the kits to the waterfall, I'll make sure no one tries to get you two or the kits." Willowbreeze meowed to Flareleap and Shimmerfur.

[walk.]

Yewclaw winced after Morningrain slashed him across the face and a tear streamed down his cheek. He stood motionless in the center of the ruined Night clan camp. He collapsed onto the dusty ground and just shut his eyes. The ghost of Duststrike stood in front of him and Yewclaw whispered, "I'm so sorry brother...." and his spirit faded into the stars. He opened them again to find Pondweed standing in front of him and he mewed, "They my hate you but I don't Yewclaw, it is almost impossible to choose between destiny and your family. And some cats make the wrong choice, I suggest you leave now before it is too late." Jaywing panted heavily from her position on the ground and heaved herself to her paws and noticed Morningrain. She yowled a battle cry and ran over and slammed into the she cat, sending her flying from Nightshadow's back. She pinned her down and snarled, "You NEVER talk to my leader like that again!" then Yewclaw came calmly over and said, "I am not your leader anymore, I deserve to die. Morningrain, please kill me now, you deserve to."

Gremlinstorm snarled and shoved at Boulderclaw, using his huge weight to shove the tom to the floor.

Morningrain hissed and shoved Jaywing off, then she looked at Yewclaw. "I can't kill you. I don't kill cats."

Boulderclaw snarled and he swiped at Gremlinstorm. Smallfrost scrambled to her paws, blood was on her back from a wound.

[walk.]

Yewclaw just looked at her calmly and mewed, "Please Morningrain." Jaywing snorted and ran over to Foxgaze and tore at his ear.

Gremlinstorm took a swift step back and flipped over so he was behind Boulderclaw and before the cat could turn around, he leapt onto his back and sunk his teeth in.

"No!" Morningrain growled. Foxgaze snarled and swatted at Jaywing.

Boulderclaw yowled and tried to throw Gremlinstorm off his back.

[walk.]

Yewclaw shrugged and looked up to the sky. He felt on the floor for a sharp stone and stabbed it into his chest and his body fell. Jaywing cried, "NO!" and ran over to him. She dragged his body away from the cats and licked it frantically.

Gremlinstorm roared and sunk his teeth in further.
