Rosepetal nodded, then she looked at her Clanmates. "So, who do you all choose? Yewclaw or Emberheart?"

[walk.]

Pondpaw mewed, "Well my vote goes to Yewclaw." a group of cats nodded in agreement but the other group yowled for Emberheart. Pondpaw turned to Rosepetal and mewed, "It looks like you have the deciding vote."

[wolf ;;]

Rosepetal blinked her eyes and shook her head. "Not me, I always choose all the bad choices." She meowed, her eyes darkened. "Let the elders choose."

[walk.]

Roughscar, Deathear and Stormstone mewed in harmony, "We all vote for Emberheart, he is courageous and brave, we also vote for him on behalf of Shadeflame..." Emberheart blinked happily and nodded his thanks. Yewclaw congraulated Emberheart but there was a look of anger in his eyes as Emberheart lept onto high rock.

Rosepetal watched Emberheart, then she walked over to Yewclaw. "It wasn't your time to become deputy." She meowed softly, then she flickered her tail.

Yewclaw turned to his sister and spat, "I don't need your comforting words Rosepetal, you didn't even vote! I have waited for moons and now, Emberheart is deputy! It was just as well Duststrike stepped down as he would've been deputy! He and you have always outshon me Rosepetal! I WANT TO BE THE BEST!"

[wolf ;;]

Rosepetal stared at his brother. "I didn't vote because I would've most likely voted for you since Duststrike stepped down, and you would've been a bad choice!" She spat, her calico fur spiked.

[walk.]

Yewclaw stared at her and challenged, "Oh yes Rosepetal? Tell me WHY exactly I would have been a bad choice?! I have helped Greystar through thick and thin! I stood beside him after Stormstone retired and it was ME who led the clan to safety! And having a sister who has broken the warrior code and a niece who was disloyal hasn't exactly helped! Pondpaw and Dsutstrike are the only two cats who have understood my ambition, my destiny...."

"Angel is not disloyal! She chose the path of her destiny!" Rosepetal spat. "And I don't think you would make a deputy because you would always want to fight and fight for every little thing!"

Yewclaw snarled and spat, "I want the clan to keep what is rightfully theirs. And no, I don't want to fight for everything Rosepetal, you just don't. Angel has one of the best cats to ever exist as a parent, Thornslash, used to be Thornstar. He is the strongest warrior you can get. She is a bred warrior. She should be loyal."
