Sandyfern sighed, then her ears perked in alarm as Brazenkit coughed, and she sat up. "Are you sure your not sick?" Sandyfern meowed to her son, then she looked at Emberheart. "Go get Rosepetal and Pondpaw."

Angel woke with a jolt and looked around in alarm, only to realise she was sleeping in one of the beds in Toad's playhouse. She sighed and sat up.

[walk.]

Emberheart nodded and ran out just as Brazenkit went into a coughing fit. Emberheart came running into the medicine den and mewed, "Brazenkit keeps on coughing Rosepetal!" Pondpaw pricked his ears and took a supply of Tansy and Poppy seeds from the shelf.

Ice looked over and smiled at Angel swiftly. Toad came running in with a large bag of cat food.

Sandyfern licked Brazenkit. Rosepetal looked up and the calico got to her paws, she saw that Pondpaw was already getting herbs, she padded out of the den and went to the nursery.

Angel flickered her ears, and she looked up as Toad came in with a bag of cat food. "Is that kittypet food?"

[walk.]

Pondpaw padded after Rosepetal slowly, trying not to spill the precious amount of tansy they had left. If Brazenkit wasn't immediantly cured, he would have to collect more and fast. He entered the den swiftly and noticed Brazenkit. He mewed, "Hawkkit, can you go to the stream just outside camp and soak this ball of moss. Goldenkit, can you start chewing a couple of these leaves into a pulp?" they both nodded and headed of. He handed Sandyfern a Tansy leaf and mewed, "Try and get him to eat this."

Toad nodded and mewed, "Do you want some Angel, Ice?" Ice shook his head and signalled to the pile of prey. Toad made a face but nodded.

Sandyfern nodded, she took the tansy leaf and put it in front of Brazenkit's paws, stroking his flank with her tail. "Brazenkit, I want you to eat this."

Angek sniffed at the bag, then she looked at Ice, then she nodded. "Alright, but only a little bit."

[walk.]

Brazenkit mewed, "Oh ok Mummy." and he gobbled the tansy leaves. He meweled as the sower taste filled his mouth but swallowed them. Soon Hawkkit was back with the moss and handed it to his brother who sucked it greatfully. Goldenkit passed Pondpaw the pulp and the medicine cat began rubbing it down Brazenkit's throat.

Toad poured her half a bowl and chuckled. He flicked his tail goodbye and left.

Sandyfern watched. She curled her tail around her paws.

Angel went over to the bowl and sniffed it before she started to eat.

[walk.]

Brazenkit soon felt better and smiled greatfully at Pondpaw. Emberheart sat at the entrance to the den and mewed to himself, "I wonder who is going to be a deputy, maybe even I stand a chance but not against Yewclaw, Duststrike and Foxgaze...."

Sandyfern purred and she nuzzled Brazenkit. Rosepetal padded out of the nursery and went to the leaders den. Lionfoot sighed and he sat up, he gazed around camp from the corner he sat in.

[walk.]

Brazenkit was asleep in seconds. Pondpaw sighed and padded back to the medicine den. The young tom began stacking shelves, he hadn't stopped all day.
