Skyfoot went to the fresh kill pile and picked out a mouse, but he jumped back, startled, as something bumped into his paws, and he looked down to see Mudkit. "Hello, Mudkit." He meowed to the kit, and the kit looked up at Skyfoot. "Hi Skyfoot." He meowed, his eyes glinting, he had a blind blue eye and his other eye was purple, which was short sighted.

[walk.]

Summerkit strutted out if the nursery and mewed, "Mudkit! It's your turn to have a wash!"

[wolf ;;]

Mudkit looked up. "Awww!" He meowed, pouting. "But I don't want a wash. Tell mama if she wants to wash me she has to come and get me."

Skyfoot looked at the kit. "Go on, you should go back to your mother so she can wash you."

[walk.]

Summerkit mewed, "No, she's staying in her nest, I'll take you though!" and the fiery little she kit dragged her bigger brother by the scruff, through the dust and into the nursery,

"Hey! Let me go!" Mudkit meowed.

[walk.]

Summerkit pulled her brother by the scruff and mewed, "Got him Mumma!"

Goldensong waddled into the nursery holding Winterkit in her jaws and gently licked him.

[wolf ;;]

Firepetal purred with amusement. "Thank you." She purred to her daughter, and she looked at mud kit, who huffed.

[walk.]

Summerkit leapt up so she sat beside her mother and mewed, "Mumma, who's our Dad? I know it sounds weird, but... I don't know..."

Goldensong looked at the free nests and chose one next to Firepetal and sighed as Winterkit wailed. She nudged him to her teats and watched him suckle, purring happily.

[wolf ;;]

Firepetal starting grooming Mudkit, and she looked at her daughter. She couldn't tell her kits who their father was, not yet. "I'll tell you soon, in a moon or two." She meowed, and she looked over at Goldensong and Winterkit, and she flicked her ears before she began to groom Mudkit again.

[walk.]

Summerkit mewed, "But why not now Mummy? I wanna know!" she wailed. Topazkit hissed from the back of the nest, "Shut up Summerkit! I'm trying to sleep!" Summerkit rolled her bright eyes and leapt down from the nest and mewed, "Who wants to play Moss ball?! Angelflight, can you be the referee?"
