Skyfoot had been resting in his nest, and he looked up as Pondweed arrived back with a kit.

[walk.]

Pondweed gulped and mewed, "They were my kits... But they were all dead. And so was she... Appart from this one..."

[wolf ;;]

Skyfoot blinked his eyes and looked at the kit. "Have you named it?"

[walk.]

Pondweed set the tiny white kit down in a nest and nodded and mewed, "Winterkit.... His mother's name was Snowstorm, so I thought it fitted. I don't know which queen could nurse him, Jellyspark wouldn't, neither would Rubystorm, Angel hasn't had her kit's and Firepetal has too many."

[wolf ;;]

Skyfoot nodded. "Winterkit does fit for him." He meowed, and he flicked his ears. "I'll go and try to convince one of the queens to nurse him."

[walk.]

Pondweed hooded his thanks and began gently licking his son.

Skyfoot got to his paws and shook his pelt, then he padded out of the den and went to the nursery.

Winterkit's eyes fluttered open and Pondweed sighed, they were a soft sky blue, just like his mother. Pndw

Skyfoot got to the nursery and poked his head in. "Hello?" He meowed.

Jellyspark looked up and said, "Oh hello Skyfoot, what's the matter?"
