Rubystorm placed a paw in front of her kit. Redkit mewed, "Don't worry, they won't take you away."

Splashkit nodded.

Troutclaw and Sunstar padded out of Moonstar's den, Troutclaw had a wound on his face. Moonstar was standing at the entrance of the leader dens. "Well will get that kit Moonstar." Troutclaw growled, turning and glaring at the NightClan leader. "You will do no such thing." Moonstar growled.

[walk.]

Rubystorm mewed, "Stay there you two." she stormed over to Troutclaw and slashed him across the face and hissed, "You foxbrained fool! What were you thinking, mating with me?! You have no idea how much of a problem this has been! He is MY kit more than yours, far more than you and I will care for him with my life, NOW GET LOST!"

[wolf ;;]

Troutclaw snarled and glared at Rubystorm. "He is half SplashClan, he will be coming with me if you like it or not." He snarled. "You won't be going anywhere near Splashkit." Moonstar growled and the grey tabby SplashClan warrior looked at Moonstar. "He's not your kit so back off!" Troutclaw snarled.

[walk.]

Rubystorm growled, "He may not be Moonstar's kit, but he is MINE! I WAS THE ONE WHO GAVE BIRTH TO HIM, AND RAISED HIM TROUTCLAW, YOU NEVER PUT ANYTHING TOWARDS HIS KITHOOD AND CARING FOR HIM!" she snarled and mewed, "Night clan is where my son belongs, he has family here who love him. He has a half sister, a step father, a mother, an uncle, an aunt, and five cousins!"

[wolf ;;]

Troutclaw snarled. "Oh, I'll get him one day Rubystorm, you can't pretend your little Splashkit forever." He growled, then he turned and stormed out of camp, followed by Sunstar.

[walk.]

Rubystorm hissed, her red pelt stuck up on end and her anger scent flooded the camp. She calmed down as he left and went back to Splashkit and mewed, "He will never get you."

Splashkit nodded, his fur had been bristling with fright while he had watched Troutclaw and Rubystorm.

Rubystorm sighed and padded into the nursery and lay back in her nest.

Splashkit followed his mother.
