Redkit yawned and Lumbered out of the nursery.

Splashkit looked at his sister.

Redkit frowned and began licking a cut on her leg that Splashkit had given her.

(It's the weekend where I am, two days of CS!)

Splashkit flicked his ears and looked around for someone to play with.

Redkit glared furiously at her brother before laying down.

Splashkit looked at his sister and rolled his eyes before going to the fresh kill pile.

Butterflight looked at her kits.

Redkit sighed, laying back and watching the afternoon sun.

Emberstar sighed, leaping onto high rock and he called, "I have news. I am retiring as the clan leader. I have reached an old age, it is time for me to go to the elder's den. Moonheart, you are now the leader of Night clan. I will return to my warrior name." Emberheart leapt down, limping towards the elder's den. He had been injured in a last battle against Mist clan and couldn't keep up anymore.

Splashkit had gotten to the fresh kill pile when Emberstar said he was retiring, and he flicked his ears. That means my dad is the leader! He thought, and he blinked his eyes as he saw Moonheart nod, then watch Emberheart go to the elders den. The kit blinked his eyes.

Bramblekit dashed out of the den. "Huh, what happened?"

Emberheart limped over to his daughter and mewed, "I retired as leader darling. I will still perform some warrior duties such as hunting and patrols, but my leg makes it impossible for me to lead a clan." he padded back to Moonheart and mewed, "We need a new deputy, choose now before you to to Moonstone. I am proud of you Moonheart, thank you for serving me."

Redkit squeaked excitedly as she heard the news, her dad was the leader.

Rustorm sighed as she noticed how excited Splashkit was, if only he knew..l
