Ambereyes nodded and leapt at the lion, claws unsheathed.

Emberstar yowled as the lion threw him off, he winced and leapt at it again.

Littlepaw hissed and kept out of the way of the lions attacks.

Sunfrost stayed beside Gingerpatch, making sure he didn't close his eyes.

Emberstar grunted, heaving all his weight into the lion.

Patchfang jumped off the mountain lion as it yowled and tried to get away, then he swiped at it.

Sunfrost looked at Gingerpatch, and her eyes went wide as the tom suddenly went limp, the light dying from his eyes. There was nothing she could do, he was dead.

[walk.]

Emberstar growled, lunging at the lion and ripping into it's throat, killing it immediantly. He stepped hack panting, he grinned and said, "I've killed it Gingerpatch! Let's get back to your mother!"

Sunfrost sighed. "Emberstar..." She meowed, her voice barely loud enough to be heard. "...Gingerpatch is dead..."

Emberstar turned around, staring at his son and snarling. His eyes glinting, he turned to Sumfrost and mewed, "-You took your eyes off him, didn't you?!"

"N-No I didn't!" Sunfrost meowed, and she shrank down.

Emberstar roared, "Yes you did!" he growled, taking Gingerpatch's body on his back and walking to the edge of the clearing, then back into the trees.
