(She's going to have too much smoke in her lungs and die this evening.)

Pondweed dipped his head and padded back to the medicine den, he sighed sadly and padded away.

Emberstar stopped Sunfrost and mewed, "I can tell Sparrowsong if you'd like?"

[wolf ;;]

Sunfrost looked at Emberstar, and she shook her head. "Its best that I tell her."

[walk.]

Emberstar nodded understandably and stepped backwards and padded over to the nursery. Inside there lay a beautiful long legged silver she cat with beautiful bluey purple eyes. She was nursing three gorgeous kits, one a dark grey tabby she kit, another a pale grey and white patched Tom and a black Tom. Emberstar grinned at his niece and mewed, "Hello Swanpoppy." the she cat mewed, "Uncle Emberheart!" Emberstar chuckled and mewed, "It's Emberstar now, I thought Sunstar said there were no kits?"

[wolf ;;]

Sunfrost went over to Sparrowsong and told her the news.

Sunstar watched Emberstar go to the nursery and followed.

[walk.]

Swanpoppy mewed, "He doesn't know, but these are his son, Troutcut's kits, I had them around an hour ago.... By myself..."

[wolf ;;]

Sunstar poked his head into the nursery. "Whats going on?" He meowed, then he spotted Swanpoppy, and he looked at the she-cat.

[walk.]

Swanpoppy looked up sharply and gulped, she mewed, "Sunstar, I'd like you to meet your grand kit's...."

[wolf ;;]

Sunstar was frozen for a few moments, then he looked at the kits, then at Swanpoppy. "Does Troutcut know?"

Sunfrost padded away from Sparrowsong after she had told her what had happened to their mother. The red tabby sighed, sadness filling her eyes, but she kept most of her sadness inside, and she looked at her kits.

[walk.]

Swanpoppy shook her head and mewed, "He never wanted kits, I thought it would be best if I kept it a secret...."

Mosskit coughed and began spluttering loudly.

[wolf ;;]

"If you keep it a secret, he'll only feel betrayed because you wouldn't tell him. Do you want me to go tell him?" Sunstar meowed.

Sparrowsong looked at Mosskit, and she licked the she-cat, hoping it would help her.
