Oakstorm rolled his eyes and looked at Fastpaw, then at Brazenfire, then he glanced at the sky. Sunfrost looked at Fastpaw. "I fell in the mud when I was an apprentice when I was on patrol, and I still had to do the patrol."

Foxgaze looked at Salmoncut, and he nodded. "Ok. Butterflight and Amberpaw, you two keep on the lookout incase a SnowClan patrol comes."

Autumnsky purred with amusement at Miriclepaw, then she looked at her sister and purred softly. "Really? Why don't you tell him?" She asked quietly, making sure only Goldensong heard.

Moonheart nodded and flicked his tail, then he caught the scent of a mouse and stalked it. Lifepaw stalked a vole.

Frostpaw flicked an ear and looked at Fuzzyfur. "Are you alright Fuzzyfur?" She asked.

Shadepetal purred with amusement. "That would've hurt." She meowed, and she flicked her tail. "Sandyfern told me once when she was an apprentice she fell out of a tree and broke all the back of her skull."

[walk.]

Amberpaw nodded earnestly and looked around. Salmoncut began resenting the boundaries.

Fastpaw growled, "But you aren't snow white and you weren't completely covered in it!"

Goldensong scoffed and whispered, "Like he'd fancy me!"

Shiverstep looked around but soon he was facing a tiny lithe grey she cat. She growled, "This is our home, go away, you cannot hunt here!"

Fuzzyfur nodded and mewed quietly, "Just thinking."

Thornslash laughed and said, "Sounds like Sandyfern!"

Butterflight scented the air and flicked her ears.

Sunfrost growled. "But I am a light colour, a yellow tabby, so you can still go on patrol." She meowed.

Autumnsky purred. "I dunno, I think he does." She whispered.

Moonheart saw Shiverstep and the she-cat, and he padded over. "We're not going to take much." He meowed. "Anyway, would you even try to chase Clan cats away."

"About what?" Frostpaw asked.

Shadepetal nodded and purred. "Yeah, she said that she tried to sneak out of camp after the accident, but then her mentor caught her."

[walk.]

Amberpaw growled and mewed, "I smell a snow clan patrol, but it is quite a way off. Carry on!" Salmoncut nodded and continued his work.

Fastpaw rolled his eyes and grumbled lightly but carried on after Brazenfire. The apprentice trailed right and the back, with Sunfrost now on his not so gret cat's list.

Goldensong giggled and whispered, "Really?! I sure hope so, it would be embarassing if I said something and he didn't!"

Tide growled and said, "The fact is, I have a family to feed and this is our home, you chase us of your territory, and this is ours, it isn't fair!"

Fuzzyfur shrugged and murmered, "I want to carry on my family name, but nobody likes me. I need to have at least one kit."

Thornslash chuckled and said, "Well, typical her eh! Pondweed and Angel are my only two kids so I protect them a but too much but when Pondweed became medicine cat apprentice, I wasn't sure if we'd have kids at all, but now with Angel's four, I feel like I've done my bit."

[wolf ;;]

Moonheart growled, then he looked at Shiverpelt. "What do you think we should do?" He meowed, he was testing the younger warrior.

Butterflight nodded in agreement, and she scented the air again. "The SnowClan patrol is coming closer, I think they know we are here." She meowed. Foxgaze growled.

Sunfrost flicked an ear, then she and Oakstorm followed Fastpaw and Brazenfire.

Autumnsky purred with amusement. "Yep." She meowed, then she tasted the air.

"Well, there are heaps of toms in the Clan around your age. You surely have to at least like one of them." Frostpaw meowed.

Shadepetal purred with amusement and nodded, and Skypaw padded out of the medicine cat den.

[walk.]

Shiverstep murmered, "The wise thing to do would be leave now, after all, she does have a point but she could be lying about the family, but it is new leaf, so prey is plentiful, I'm sure we can manage with what we've got."

Salmoncut nodded and growled lightly. Amberpaw twitched her ears and mewed, "I smell an older Tom, a young warrior Tom and two she cats about the same age!"

Brazenfire mewed, 'Let's keep going, we will be at tall rocks soon." he tasted the air happily. Fastpaw kept his head low.

Fuzzyfur mewed, "Oh I do, but they wouldn't like me."

[wolf ;;]

Moonheart nodded, and he glanced at Tide one last time before looking over his shoulder. "Lifepaw!" And the tom padded towards them.

Butterflight growled, and her paws kneaded the ground as she waited for the SnowClan patrol to appear.
[Who's on the SnowClan patrol?]

Oakstorm nodded, and Sunfrost only twitched her tail.

"Well, how do you know if they don't?" Frostpaw meowed. "Which cats do you like?"

[walk.]

Two tiny kits came out from underneath Tide's belly and the little grey one mewed, "Mumma, why are they here? I'm afraid!" she soothed him and mewed, "Don't worry Whisper, they are leaving my babe." Shiverstep stayed firm.

(Amberpaw, Foxgaze and Salmoncut).
Amberpaw unsheathed her claws and hid them in the mud. Salmoncut stood at the front and growled, "Come out now, you are on Night clan territory."

When they reached tall rocks, Brazenfire mewed, "Fastpaw, you keep watch." the Tom grumbled angrily and brushed past Sunfrost, getting some of the mud on her fur and he slumped down.

Fuzzyfur chuckled and mewed, "Oh, I adore Patchfang, everything about him!"

Butterflight growled, and when no cat came out she spat. "Don't be scaredy-mice! We know your here!"

Moonheart looked at the kits, and so did Lifepaw. "Lets go." Moonheart meowed to Shiverpelt and Lifepaw.

Sunfrost hissed and glared at the apprentice, then she scented the air.

Frostpaw blinked her eyes. "Well, why don't you tell him?"

Salmoncut growled, "Come out an face us or we will find you!" he stormed towards the bushes.


Shiverstep nodded and thrust down the mouse he had caught and mewed, "Sorry Tide..." he was about to pad away when she mewed, "Wait! Please, I can't look after my two darlings, please take them to live in your clan!"

Fastpaw growled and muttered, "Serves you right." he lowered his head. Brazenfire whispered in Sunfrost's ear, "He's just upset, I'll tell Emberstar, Don't worry." he looked lovingly into her eyes for a minute before swiftly turning away and running after a mouse.

Fuzzyfur giggled and mewed, "Oh Frostpaw, it's called a secret crush!" and she ran on ahead, laughing.
