Sunfrost and Oakstorm both padded over to Brazenfire, tails twitching.

"Salmoncut, Butterflight and Amberpaw will come with me!" Foxgaze called, and Butterflight went over to him.

"Miriclepaw, Swallowflight and Goldensong, you will be coming with me." Autumnsky meowed.

"Hawkfang and Shiverstep, you two and Lifepaw can come on patrol with me." Moonheart called.

"Alright...Frostpaw, Fuzzyfur and Daisyflower can come with me then." Patchfang said.

[walk.]

Fastpaw came skidding over and Brazenfire mewed, "We are going to the tall rocks." and he padded of.

Salmoncut strode over swiftly followed by Amberpaw.

Goldensong grinned and ran over and nudged her sister.

Hawkfang looked down at Nightshadow but padded over to Moonheart. Lifepaw followed carefully avoiding Nightshadow's body.

Fuzzyfur and Daisyflower squealed and ran over together like aaron of excited kits.

[Realized I had three of my cats and one of yours on Moonheart's patrol, I changed Cloudfoot to Shiverstep.]

Sunfrost and Oakstorm both nodded before they followed after Brazenfire.

Foxgaze flicked an ear as Butterflight padded over and he looked at the patrol. "We'll patrol by the river, where the border with out Clan and SnowClan is." He meowed, then he led the way out of camp.

Lifepaw flicked his tail and looked at Moonheart.

Frostpaw padded calmly over to Patchfang after Fuzzyfur and Daisyflower.

"We'll be patrolling by the border that connects our Clan and StormClan." Patchfang told Frostpaw, Fuzzyfur and Daisyflower.

Fastpaw sped ahead and Brazenfire called, "Fastpaw, please slow down! It is honestly not safe here!" he watched as the snow white apprentice skidded down a muddy bank and landed with a splat in the marshes. He rolled his eyes and peered over the edge and mewed, "Are you alright?" Fastpaw slowly got up, completely covered in mud and groaned and said, "I'm fine." he was about to move, he tugged on his foot and he cried, "I'm stuck!"

Salmoncut nodded and flickered Amberpaw's rump and the pretty she cat skittered in front of the warrior and looked back at camp. She padded silently onwards, she had fierce green eyes like her dad. She peered around and sniffed the air and sighed happily at the fresh ness.

Shiverstep murmered, "Where are we going Moonheart?" his tail flickered.

Fuzzyfur mewed, "I suggest we look for mice in the brambles, they are plentiful prey in this cold weather, they keep warm in the forestry."

Sunfrost flicked he tail and looked at Fastpaw.

"Don't move Fastpaw, you'll make yourself get more stuck." Oakstorm meowed, and the brown tom twitched his black ears before looking at Brazenfire. "I'll help him get out of the mud." He meowed, and he carefully went down the muddy bank, and made his way carefully over to Fastpaw.

Butterflight padded beside Salmoncut as Foxgaze led the patrol, and the golden she-cat looked at the tom. "How did you feel when your father Lionfoot left to be in SnowClan?" She asked the tom suddenly.

Autumnsky flicked her tail and purred at her sister, then she looked up as Swallowflight came over.

Moonheart flicked his tail. "We'll be hunting by the abandoned two-leg nest." He meowed, and he padded out of camp, Lifepaw followed quickly.

Patchfang nodded. "Alright, lets go." He meowed, then he padded out of camp and Frostpaw followed.

[walk.]

Brazenfire nodded and stepped back to stand beside Sunfrost and he murmered, "He is exactly like his father isn't hel" he chuckled and mewed to the wriggling apprentice, "Stay still!" Fastpaw scowled and turned to Oakstorm.

Salmoncut turned to Butterflight and mewed, "I guess I don't remember much, I've never really thought about it actually. But I felt I had been betrayed but as time went on, it made more sense, it was his birth clan and it was natural he would want a mate from there, but it was tough growing up without a father, Mum found it especially hard." he shrugged,

Goldensong peered around and murmered, "Is it just us three?"

Shiverstep nodded approvingly and padded after the deputy.

Fuzzyfur nodded and padded quickly after Patchfang, followed by Daisyflower.

Sunfrost purred with amusement and she nodded. "He is." She meowed. Oakstorm got to the apprentice and he looked at the white tom. "Now just stay still." He meowed, and he grabbed Fastpaw's scruff before pulling.

Butterflight flicked an ear and nodded. "Of course it would be hard, but I wouldn't know because Greystar was in the Clan." Then she shrugged and looked ahead at Foxgaze. "How far are we from the border?" She called. "Not far." Foxgaze replied.

"No, we have to wait for Miriclepaw." Autumnsky meowed.

Moonheart led the patrol to the abandoned two-leg nest.

Patchfang flicked an ear and Frostpaw tasted the air to make sure nothing followed their patrol.

Shadepetal glanced around the medicine cat den and sighed.

[walk.]

Brazenfire snorted lightly and Fastpaw scowled at the warrior and stayed still. His green eyes flashed angrily at Brazenfire so the warrior was quiet once more. He stepped back, trying to keep his ginger pelt clean of all the mud.

Salmoncut nodded and mewed, "But at least he is probably still alive, infact I bet his kits are warriors now, Mothwing and CheetahfangnI think, I remember seeing them on patrol when I went hunting. We may see him today, who knows..."


Miraclepaw came skidding out of the medicine den, soaking wet and said, "Sorry, I was washing of the mouse bile in the river, I had a few ticks from hunting."

Shiverstep scented the air and muttered, "It stinks of loners, they must be living here now the two legs are gone." he slipped through a broken window and mewed, "No sign of them, they must gave gone hunting in the forest beyond here, it's safe for now."

Fuzzyfur stayed silent,

Thornslash came in and said, "How are you Shadepetal? I reckon I am related to you, I am you grandfather's brother so? Great Uncle I suppose. How are you doing, you look well considering you are all bandaged up!" Pondweed chuckled and mewed, "I'll you you to it."

Oakstorm finally got Fastpaw unstuck from the mud, and even if he didn't have to, he carried the apprentice back up the back and set him down on the grass.

Butterflight nodded, and she flicked her tail, then she looked up as she saw Foxgaze stop walking. "We're at the border." Foxgaze meowed.

Autumnsky nodded and twitched her tail. "Alright, everyones here, so lets go, we won't be hunting far from camp." She meowed, and she padded out of camp with Swallowflight following.

Moonheart nodded and his tail twitched. "Alright, we won't stay and hunt here for long then, in case the loners come back." Then he scented the air for prey.

Patchfang flicked his tail as he walked.

Shadepetal looked up as Thornslash came in, and she listened to him and purred with amusement. "I guess so. I'm good, just bored."

[walk.]

Fastpaw leapt of Oakstorm's back and snapped, "I'm not a baby!" he looked at his filthy reflection in a puddle and groaned, "Ugh! It will take me ages to get this out of my fur, sorry Brazenfire, I'm not going on patrol like this."

Salmoncut scented the air and asked, "Would you like me to remark the borders?" his tail twitched awkwardly.

Miraclepaw followed Autumnsky, grinning widely. Goldensong giggled at Miraclepaw. She whispered into her sister's ear, "I like Oakstorm!"

Shiverstep nodded and mewed, "I'll keep guard. Make sure the loners don't come back before we escape." he chuckled good naturedly.

Fuzzyfur stared at the floor.

Thornslash laughed, "I know how you feel, when I was an apprentice I fell out of a large oak tree, lot my footing. Broke my paw and my jaw bone, and cracked a section of my skull slightly, was out for weeks. It healed very quickly though and I was bored for moons."
