Karasu-Inu was twitching excitedly as he looked up at the scientists. They had assembled the mutants here, before the training room, to give them all the next mission that would be of use in later life. Karasu had, quite literally, no idea what any of this was all about, being one of the more clueless mutants, but every training mission brought the same thrill of excitement to the golden retriever mutant, even if it was just because he got the chance to display his puppy-like energy and ultimately, run around helping other mutants, all the while barking like a maniac. Unfortunately, today seemed like the mission would be a test of stealth, so it seemed like Karasu was out of luck. Not that he noticed. He was barely paying any attention to the obvious signs and was waiting for the scientists to give the experiments their mission. Shaking himself vigorously in excitement, the dog collar around his neck jingled softly, the blank tag shimmering.

Tsukiyoku looked about him. He was standing in the small assembly room built for the scientists to give the mutants their training missions, along with the others who were to venture along with them. It seemed that all of the mutants were meant to be present. Moony looked around to check that there was at least someone here that he knew, large golden eyes still as his head swiveled curiously to give him view of a lot of the crowd. Turning forwards again after a few seconds, he shook his fuzzy wings, scratching his head beside the feathered tuft that poked from his chestnut hair. There was a nagging irritation in his mind though, a sure sign that he was probably about to explode at some point in the mission. Everything that went wrong seemed to make the irritation worse, and Moony wished that he'd been given the chance to stay in his room until it had passed. Sighing softly, he looked up at the, currently blank, screen that would give details on the location and objective of the mission at hand; being more thorough than the scientists could ever be.

The leopard mutant swished her tail from side to side as she walked around restlessly, she hated staying still unless it was to sleep, eat or curl up in a warm spot, she wouldn't just stand on the spot. She wondered what was happening, as she looked around. No information had come up on the screen yet, so she looked around at the other mutants. There was the energetic dog mutant, the owl mutant, a small boy with light brown fur, and herself. She didn't want to admit to herself that she was excited, but she was, she loved change and surprises, and she loved challenging herself.

Lark stood, slightly nervously, with his large, dark eyes watching the screen where the information would come up. He was nervous because he didn't want to embarrass himself in front of everyone by failing the task, he didn't want to make himself look weak as he was scared others would take advantage of him if he was weak. He took a deep breath and calmed himself, he would be fine, he wasn't the youngest or the smallest there, he didn't think.

Exhausted - Had a nightmare

The young owl mutant stood absolutely still, eyes locked on the screen even though it was still blank. To those who looked at the five-year-old, she could be the perfect soldier; standing to attention, stiff posture, empty expression.
Elloette was really exhausted, but she didn't let it show. She had a nightmare last night, but couldn't even remember what it was about. Holding back a yawn, Elloette let her eyes flit over to the other mutants without moving her head. She quickly pulled her gavze back to the screen. Looks like they called in everyone. She thought.

Henrique leaned against the wall, a scowl on his face and his long black hair falling everywhere. Some scientist had dragged him in here for a "briefing". As far as the spider mutant was concerned, briefing was a curse word. It meant a meeting he would be dragged to and forced to sit still while some boring adult droned on and put him to sleep.

So Henry purposefully ignored the scientists, instead watching the mutants. It seemed like everyone was here, which meant the meeting would start soon. There was the fluffy owl-boy, the puppy-boy, the other owl-this time a girl, and the leopard-girl. There were a few missing, so he had at least a few minutes of quiet until he had to pay attention.

Remaining in the back of the group, Itami sized up her surroundings, dark eyes flitting across the small group of assembled mutants, already arranging them in orders of usefulness. Hmm... Very few of these...experiments look like they could hold their own in a fight... Spider-boy -- Henrique -- probably could, and I'm not wanting to take bets on the leopard just yet. The rest I'll try and withhold judgement on until after I've seen them in action. she thought to herself, leaning up against the wall, wings tightly folded against her back.

[Moonlit Dream]

Grinning happily, Karasu-Inu looked around him, and his tail whirled madly as his gaze settled on just about everyone. Shaking himself again, he didn't notice that one of his ears was turned comically inside out, but his large brown eyes just begged for attention. Looking up at the scientists again for a brief moment, Karasu was getting bored, and thus, a lot more hyperactive. Having to bite his tongue to stop himself from starting a crazy barking session, Inu instead turned his attention to the other mutants, and, bouncing on the balls of his feet for a moment, threw himself at a random other mutant in excitement, hoping for a hug or some form of play. Unfortunately, it happened to be the Gyrfalcon girl, which probably wouldn't end well for the dog mutant...

Looking up at the scientists, Moony was entirely focused. The explanations were sinking into him, the experiences being stored for future knowledge. The lead scientist was giving a brief explanation of the mission, and all the while images and information flashed up on the screen to help the mutants and scientists. Mostly the scientists, though, as it was a probability that some of the mutants couldn't read. The scientist's face was serious even though it was only a training mission; she knew that someday this would be real. "Your mission, is to venture inside of this here building and find the plans that belong to our enemies. We need a better insight to their future plans. Be aware, for it is a high security environment. You must make use of every resource that is available to you, and yes, there'll be guards. I don't expect you to kill or fight as much as to avoid these guards, s a fight could raise the alarm and render the mission failed. Any questions, children?"

Exhaustion burning away - Tinges of interest taking place

She watched as the images flitted across the screen, listening closely to what the scientists said while reading whatever words came up. She somehow managed to absorb both at the same time like a sponge with a major need for water. When the scientist was finished speaking and asked if anyone had any questions, she remained silent, and went through the plans in her head. After observing every angel possible, and even the angles not possible, she stored away the information she collected, so it could be used in the future.

The spiderling looking up at the screen. The meeting had started, and the scientists were rambling on about what they had to do. Different images appeared on the screen, which apparently had to do with their mission--places to go, people to see, and whatnot--but he didn't understand any of it. His English was good, but reading it was hard. All these images had captions, and he could scarcely pick out one word before another one appeared.

Still, the images were pretty. Henrique payed more attention to the pictures of forests and maps of places than the mission itself. Someone else could fill him in later.

Rain lifted her head to look at the screen and a smile played on her lips, stealth, her best attribute would thrive with this kind of mission. She flicked her tail and listened with her snow tiger ears straight up and her tail twitching back and forth. She looked around to see faces that she had never guessed of ever seeing. Children mixed with mutant animals and all of them paying attention to the screen. Some had a calculating look and others looked rather confused by the task.

Her attention looked toward a girl with leopard mutations, Rain kept an eye on her because she hadn't seen another cat transfusion and she was interested to see what she would do. soon she had lost interest and started calculating the best way to position herself with the others. Staying silent and listening to others was the best way to go and she decided to tell them that she was stealthy and the good for sneaking about but that would be all unless needed.
