Coraline smiled at him and walked to the car with him, laughing, "Why thank you!"She said with a smile as she listened to him and nodded,"Okay, we don't have to go there if you don't want..." She said as she looked at him and smiled a bit, knowing he had the keys and she couldn't get in if it was locked. She had no idea where she would be going. She kind of wondered if Eden was going out with Wess to the party. If so, then there might be some issues if they did go to the party... Oh, how odd it would be to go to a party with Nathan and slam into Eden... What would Eden think?

She shook it off. Eden was her friend, it wasn't anything that would be bad... She'd explain it to Eden at school tomorrow.

Wess looked at her, smirking a bit, "I know... I had everything in the wash when we were at the hospital and after it got out of the dryer and my cousin was sick and he decided that the trash can right next to him wouldn't be good enough so he threw up on my clean clothes." He said as he walked to the car when she said they should head to the car. He smiled and pulled off his hoody, exposing a simple white t-shirt. He handed her the hoody and said, "Some of the party is outside, so this could help keep you warm..."He said, looking at her and smiled, opening the door of the car..

"Eh, yeah..." Nathan trailed off, feeling somewhat guilty that he was ruining Coraline's night at the expense of his pride. Sighing, Nathan took out his keys from his pocket and unlocked the car doors before going to the driver's seat. he wasn't sure if Coraline was expecting him to open the passenger side for her, but that wasn't really his style. He was a date, not an escort. Coraline was more than capable of opening a door without him.

"I wonder if Wess ended up asking Eden to the party instead," Nathan mused aloud, knowing that Coraline was a friend of Eden's. "I guess I can use that for cover ... "

Taking out his cell phone, Nathan sent Wess Did you end up taking Eden to that party? ...Where is it anyway?

Eden scrunched up her nose to demonstrate her disgust as she accepted his hoody. "Thanks. I'll get it back to you ASAP." She smiled then, as he opened the car door for her. She knew that he was trying to be polite, but she hoped that Wess didn't think she liked being treated like some prom princess. Still, she obliged to climb into the car and sit in the passenger seat, waiting for Wess to come in on the other side.

Coraline looked at him and got in the passenger seat, looking around and then shrugging off the jacket since they were in the car. She looked at him and then tilted her head a bit as he said something about Wess asking Eden out to a party. "She told me she was going out so I guess it's possible..."She said as she buckled up and crossed one leg over the other, watching him text... who was he texting? She blinked slowly but didn't ask as she looked at him before looking at her house.

She had never expected to be in a car alone with Nathan... She felt kind fo awkward at the fact she was completely alone with him... She kind of wanted to talk to him, but what about? "So, what kind of party is it?" She asked as she looked at him and had her hands in her laps as she wasn't entirely sure what else to ask. She brushed her hair to one side, pulling it over her right shoulder so she could see a bit better. She looked around and then back at him.

Wess looked at her and smiled, "It's fine. You can keep it for as long as you need." He said as he got into his car and began to drive down the road, finding the house that had the party. He looked at her and smiled, "We're here."He said,getting out of the car and waiting for her to get out as well. He smiled a bit and looked around, waiting for her before he would walk into the building.

"I asked Wess where it was ... roundabout-like. Not sure if he's paying attention to his phone tonight, though," Nathan commented, shutting off his cell phone for a moment and turning on the ignition. The engine purred to life as Nathan leaned back in the seat and considered where they should be going. "I guess we should get out of here first so your parents don't see you get in a car with a strange guy, huh?" Nathan smiled at the windshield before turning back to Coraline as she spoke.

Nathan's eyes lingered perhaps a second too long on Coraline's exposed neck as she brushed her hair back before forcing his gaze at her eyes. "That's a good question. Probably not an overly wild one. I hope," Nathan tagged onto the end. "I'll just take us to a park then, while we wait. Is there a movie you want to see or something?" Nathan was suddenly reminded why he liked to plan everything out. Free-form was never really a talent of his.

Eden climbed out of the car and joined Wess at the front of the building, smiling her thanks. "So what sort of party is this? Casual, formal, illegal...?" Eden trailed off, a joking look on her face. Wess had already told her it wouldn't be anything too crazy, and she trusted his judgement--although in hindsight his definition of "crazy" might've been somewhat off from Eden's definition.

Coraline nodded as she listened to him and said, "The party sounds okay, and getting away from my parents house is something that would likely be a good idea... even more so since it's a school night."She muttered as she could feel his eyes on her neck, his gaze gave her chills for some reason. She looked at him when he put his eyes on her, nodding a bit.

She looked at him as he offered to take her to the park, "No movies, I've seen the ones I wanted to see, we can go to the park." She said as she looked at him and smiled a bit, able to feel the goosebumps rising under her sleeves at thought of him looking at her. She wasn't sure why though. She had plenty of guys staring at her but he was the only one who had given her the chills like that. She was suddenly very aware of how fast her heart was beating. Almost like she was swooning. But she gave no outward signs..

Wess looked at her and shrugged, "I'm pretty sure it's just normal... but there might be a few pot heads in the back, you know, most of them have it... just ignore them and you'll be fine..." He said as he opened the door and walked into the building and looking around, seeing a bunch of the people dancing to the loud music, "Well, louder then I expected...."He said, looking at her and shrugging a bit, not sure what to do and walking through the room. He wasn't entirely sure what there was to do.

"Park it is, then," Nathan smiled, pulling away from Coraline's house and taking his time driving. It wasn't like he was going at ten miles per hour, but he wasn't in any hurry to get out and walk about. He'd much rather stay in the car with Coraline. It was an odd feeling. Nathan felt suddenly nervous around her, hoping that he wasn't acting too stupid, wishing that he could do something impressive to show her that he's worth it...

Well, of course he was worth it. His IQ was double the other idiots that tried out for the play Nathan reassured himself--with little success. Clearing his throat, Nathan said, "So we should probably talk about something inconsequential to kill time. Favorite music?"

Eden frowned before shrugging. "As long as they don't try and bother me I couldn't care less." At the same moment she looked into the building and glanced around at the flickering bodies in the loud music and blinding lights--exactly what Eden wasn't at home in. Oh, well. She was here for Wess, not herself.

"Why don't we find that friend you were talking about?" Eden suggested, raising her voice in order to be heard.

Coraline nodded and listened to him as he began to pull away from her house and drive, "Okay."She said as she felt kind of nervous sitting near him, kind of feeling weird as she didn't know what to do. She didn't know how many other girls he had gone out with from his school... And what the competition for how to act would be... She looked at him curiously, unsure what there was to do next.

She looked up when he talked to her, raising an eyebrow and smiling a bit, "Evanescence and Mozart..." She said, looking at him with her eyes asking the same question. She wondered what kinds he liked. How different were they from her likes? She hoped they wouldn't be to far away. She looked out the window for a few moments before looking at him again and waiting patiently for him to respond, smiling.

Wess looked at her and smiled, "Good point, I think they are gonna be to busy to notice you though..." He said as looked at her and smiled a bit, knowing she probably didn't like it in here, "I just got to go say hello and we can leave and maybe catch a movie if you want."He said, looking around till he spotted his friend. He waved and chatted for a few moments before looking around and wondering where Eden was, it was impossible to find anyone around here... With all the dancing bodies he couldn't make out which girl was Eden... dammit!

Nathan quirked a brow at her music tastes. They happened to be the only sort of music that Nathan really had a specific grudge over. They were technically in the same fields of music, his tastes and hers, but the fact was he just didn't like Evanescence, and neither did he appreciate Mozart. Still, music was just a preference. It shouldn't be a deal breaker, he tried to reassure himself. Smiling to hide his uncertainty, Nathan said, "Disturbed and Tchaikovsky."

The car continued down the road, traffic somewhat slower now that it was past rush hour. Nathan didn't waste too much time now, finding that the conversation was probably going to plummet downhill quite soon. Glancing around the corner, Nathan spotted one of the nicer parks that had a walk way through it and also a playground for children.

"How's that one?" Nathan asked, nodding his head towards it.

"Eh," Eden said noncommittally. She shrugged before smiling and encouraging Wess to go and say hi, to take his time. They weren't here to indulge in Eden, after all. It was for Wess that they were here, so she should try her best not to complain. Wasn't she the one that encouraged him to attend, in the first place?

It seemed like Wess' prediction would not hold true, however. In the bustle of dancers Eden found herself pushed and bumped her way to the back of the building where, lo and behold, some druggies were dozing. They woke up as Eden stumbled forward from the throng of dancers, trying to catch her balance. Catching their eye, Eden skidded to a stop and said, "Oh. Uh. Sorry. Uh. I just...didn't mean to bother you." Eden took a small step back, not liking the look in one of the young man's eye, who was surprisingly quick for a druggie. He stood up and towered over Eden's short stature and grabbed her wrist casually, a dazed but conniving grin on his face. "Stay a while," encouraged he.

"Not necessary!" Eden squeaked, pulling on his grip.

Coraline looked at him in slight surprise... the answers he returned were the only two artists she didn't particularly like, well, that shouldn't make things to complicated... a lot of people had different music tastes. "Okay."She said as she looked out the window before they got to a nice looking park. She smiled and nodded, it looked like a very good park to go to, "Works for me!" She said, as she smiled and waited till he had stopped the car before getting out and walking down the walk way.

She looked at him and smiled, walking quickly towards the playground and smiled. She looked at him and sat down on the little climbing dome. She looked at him and pulled his jacket tighter around her. She could see her breath but the cold air was very refreshing, keeping her wide awake. She was very tempted to take off running and see if she could hit her stride without toppling over once more, and also seeing if he could keep up with her... she wasn't very tall, maybe being an inch or so over Eden, but she had stamina that could last hours. She'd probably be a survivor of a zombie apocalypse because she is fit and able to run as fast as she needed and, being a slight nerd with a giant imagination, she actually had a plan!

She looked at him and smiled as she brushed her hair behind her ears, the moon making her auburn hair look like fire with the way it blew slightly from the wind and almost seemed to dance. She had an odd hair color because neither of her parents were red heads... they had black hair. It made her stand out.

Wess looked around for her, confused at where she could have gone... "Eden?!" He called, finally able to find her in the back with some guy eying her up. He didn't know why, but his blood began to boil in a sudden need to strangle the guy... He couldn't stop the low growl in his voice as he stomped over, getting between her and the guy, facing the guy and basically leveling the guy with height, "Put your hand on her again and I'll have your head on a pole..."He warned, his voice dead serious. It wasn't a bluff either. He had spent his whole life wrestling with cousins three times his size! He could easily take down this half dazed lug.

His muscles tight, his jaw set, and his once bright blue eyes narrowed and looking pretty pissed off... He honestly looked ready to tear into this guy if he made another move.

Glad that Coraline deemed the park acceptable, Nathan parked his car along the curb and turned off the ignition before climbing out after Coraline. He smiled a little at her excitement and jogged a short length to catch up with her to rub her arms under his jacket. "Don't tell me you're still cold. At least leave me with a shirt," Nathan said jokingly. He walked beside her step by step, although he could sense that she was itching to pick up the pace. He was doubtful that he would be able to keep up with her if she decided to run, however. Yeah, his legs were pretty long and he wasn't exactly unhealthy, but it wasn't like he trained everyday. If not in speed Coraline would beat Nathan easily in endurance--not that he would admit that easily.

Nathan considered her red hair with appreciation as they strolled down the pathway. The moon did little to enhance his look, Nathan felt. The light of the moon mostly just bleached out whatever hair it could touch while making the rest look darker, and he looked paler than he should. Maybe he should get out more. He sighed to himself while putting an arm around Coraline across her back, his hand ending up at her upper arm. It was mostly to keep her warm, not to make a huge move on her, but there you go.

Thank God. Eden was able to loosen herself from the guy's grip as Wess came crashing in, furious. She considered her tiny wrist to see if there were any casualties as the two of them argued, Wess snapping something at the guy and him growling something back. In all honesty Eden paid little attention until she deemed herself fit, and she glanced up at Wess to make sure he hadn't done anything else overly stupid that evening.

"Wess," Eden tried to get his attention, putting a hand on his forearm, "walk away. Let's get going. I'm fine."
