Coraline looked at him when he finally turned to look at her again and apologized, her gaze still completely locked on him. She dropped her hand,finger tips brushing his skin before her hand retreated next to her. She watched him sit down and nodded a bit. "I know what you mean... " She muttered as she looked at him, feeling very much unlike herself... all these thoughts, all about him, were confusing... but all she had to do was think of the smell she had scented on his shirt when they had been close in the kissing scene and she got a sort of high feeling in her head.

She looked at him and said, "Tell me about it." She wasn't being sarcastic or playful or anything, she honestly wanted to know how he hadn't been feeling like himself. She wanted to see if it somehow matched with her own feelings. She was completely oblivious to anything around her other then Nathan, something that never happened to her before. She was always very alert and energetic. It was part of who she was, but with Nathan around, all she could think about was him... the smell of his shirt, his grey/blue eyes, his hair that looked somewhat like bedhead but kind of cute at the same time...

She couldn't describe it, or even begin to understand it, but she was tempted to reach out and touch the side of his face.

Wess rolled his eyes a bit at Eden and ignored her, listening to her again. "Horrible thing or not, you know how weird these two have been acting, even more so around each other... I've never seen Nathan just totally ignore something and be so focused on a person... a paper or work maybe, but never a person... even more so a girl!" He pointed out, surprised to find Nathan now sitting on the foot of Coralines bed. This was all to weird. Nathan never acted like this.... Not as long as he had known him, and definitely not to a girl.

He watched before looking at Eden and nodding,"Something is going on, and I think this romance play has seeped into their brains a bit... " He looked back at them and gave a confirming nod.

Nathan stared at the spot that Coraline's fingers had receded and suddenly had a very sharp remembrance of how it was like kissing her. The sensation of her lips, the smell of her hair, her in his arms...God, he was going insane. Nathan felt like flopping across the bed in frustration, but of course he couldn't. It was occupied. He did give her a faint smile, though, when she agreed with him.

"Yeah?" Nathan snorted. "No offense, but I doubt you've been going through what I have. It's like I'm a completely different person."

Eden frowned but didn't pursue the subject, although her mind was buzzing. Coraline as well never really expressed interest in boys in general. It wasn't like she was completely against dating, it just never seemed to be of utmost important to Coraline. Or at least, that's how it always struck Eden.

"I think you might be right," Eden finally admitted, biting her lip. "But what are we going to do, cancel it? Because of what? How are we supposed to explain...this?" Eden waved around a hand just above the face of the window, clearly trying to encapsulate whatever "this" was by grouping Nathan and Coraline together inside the room.

Coraline looked at him and tucked her legs under herself, ignoring the stitched gash on her leg that hurt a bit when moved. She looked at him and saw him give a faint smile, but pouted when he tried to tell her that he was to different. She crossed her arms under her chest, her eyes stubborn. She leaned over and poked his side, like she did with everyone when she wanted to know something they weren't telling her. "Oh, just tell me, I have a concussion but I will poke you till you either get a bruise or tell me... " She said, clearly not going to give up. She would likely risk standing up to chase him down... and standing up sometimes meant throwing up.

She raised an eyebrow,"Tell me, or I can find someway of getting it out of you... And you think I don't know?" She wasn't kidding, she'd go straight up to Wess and pester the crap out of him till he told her about what Nathan was freaking out over. Or she could just do that to Nathan. But, in her current state, he could likely out run her... normally, she was sure she could out run him without even hitting her stride. But right now she would need time to heal.

Wess looked at her, expecting her to tell him it was wrong to watch them and stuff.. but when she agreed, he looked at her in surprise and shrugged a bit, "We can't cancel... but maybe we should avoid the kissing scenes and letting them rehearse alone..." He said as he looked at them and then back at her"You think anyone would believe us if we said that the main characters of the play were turning Nathan and Coraline into love sick puppies?" He asked with a raised eyebrow, looking at her and shrugging a bit as he wasn't quite sure what else there was to do..

Nathan rose an eyebrow while leaning back onto his arms behind him, creating an almost easy and casual atmosphere, although it was probably him just compensating for the sheer awkwardness that was going on here.

"I was first to talk about myself Sunday," Nathan began, remembering that day. It seemed so long ago, now. "It's your turn to speak up."

Shaking her head, Eden sighed before saying, "Yeah, that'll probably work. I never thought that anyone would believe us if we said that, anyway." Taking another sigh, she glanced into the room before deflating a bit in weariness.

"You know what, suddenly that coffee doesn't sound half-bad," Eden mumbled. "I think I'll get myself a cup. You can tag along if you want, unless you want to stay here for...this." Eden repeated her previous gesture, smiling a little at the mimicry before turning and heading down the hallway. At this point she was much too drained to care much about Coraline's secret love life very much, and anyway they thought of a solution, didn't they? At least for now.

Coraline looked at her and tilted her head and raised an eyebrow as he leaned back and then said she had to speak up first, making her sink back a bit as she didn't quite know what to do or say. She couldn't stop the pink rising from her collar bone and onto her cheeks, just below her eyes and spreading along her face as the tips of her ears felt hot and turned pink. It was her tell. When she lied or was embarrassed you just had to look at her ears and if the tips were pink then you could tell.

She blinked slowly and tilted her head a bit, "I'm not really good about talking about myself... " She muttered, looking around and finally away from him as she tugged at the rim of her tank top awkwardly. She looked at him and sighed, knowing it wasn't fair for him to keep talking and not have anything from her. She bit her lip a bit before speaking,"Fine... It's been kind of weird, can't think right... The plays getting in my head, I spent all two nights ago while watching Romeo and Juliet..." She admitted quietly, not exactlyproud about her odd action... she was not about about to admit that he had been one of the few things on her mind....

Wess looked at her and nodded a bit, seeing her almost delfate. He nodded a bit on the coffee thing and said, "Okay. I'll come with... I don't really need to see anything more.." He said as he walked over to her and then down the hallway. He looked at her,"You okay?He asked with a raised eyebrow, looking at her and tilting his head a bit.

Nathan watched in faint amusement as he watched the blush climb up Coraline's neck. Cute. He cracked a small smile like he would to a child--nothing strictly romantic, you see. Clearly Coraline wasn't comfortable talking about herself. She had said little during their first meeting, as well. That was somewhat disappointing. Nathan disliked talking about himself only to have the other clam up when it was their turn. It was only fair, he figured, that the other return the favor. However, Coraline did eventually speak up, for which Nathan was thankful. He snorted in response to Coraline's answer.

"I probably would've done the same thing if I had the chance," Nathan assured her easily. "I'm quickly losing my patience with this play. I feel like for once I'm working too much -- and if you knew me you'd probably ask me if I was high, right now. Maybe I should go out like my friend Wess said...don't tell him I agree with him," Nathan added hastily.

Eden smiled a little in appreciation at Wess' concern as the pair of them continued down the hall.

"Nothing's wrong, I guess," Eden shrugged. "It's just that I don't really like change...it's kind of a thing of mine. With Coraline getting up and dating someone that she seems to actually like--and from a play production on romance, no less--I feel like my little comfort-zone world is changing, again, and I have to adjust. But I don't like doing that. Does that make sense at all?" Eden sighed, glancing down at the floor in some embarrassment.

Coraline looked at him as he listened to her, raising an eyebrow a bit and smiling slightly... Okay, so he really was a workaholic... She looked at him and smiled a bit. "I don't go out much, and I'm guessing you don't either? " She asked, figuring a workaholic didn't like to go out and party till the sun rose. It didn't seem like his type of thing to do either. she smiled a bit and looked at the door, wondering where Wess and Eden were....

She looked back at him and decided to try and stand, figuring she would need to do that anyway. She put her legs on the edge of the bed so her feet touched the ground as she slowly stood up, focusing hard not to fall over as she was a little disoriented."Don't fall, don' fall, don't fall!" She said as she had to grip the bed to be able o keep standing, her knees still weak. But she wasn't the kind to just lay down, she was way to busy to have that happen.

Wess looked at her and smiled a bit, nodding in agreement. He didn't like change much either, but he was always put through it since his family came around a lot and changed things up. "It''s okay, I guess I understand what you mean... It makes sense, I don't like things changing all that much either. " He said, somehow hoping to make her feel a little bit better,"I'm sure, once the play is over, that things will somehow smooth out."He said with a slightly lazy shrug as they reached the coffee spot and he smiled, deciding some coffee would be best for all of them.

Nathan snorted, saying, "What do you take me for?" He grinned devilishly before making sure it was clear, saying, "No, I don't really get out much. For one thing, there's always something to do. For another, I dislike drunkards. And finally, I hate people who drink for the sake of drinking. My patience is severely lacking you see," Nathan explained to her, his more cynical side surfacing. He followed her gaze to the window and muttered, "Let them take their time."

As Coraline tried to stand, Nathan rose with her. It was an impulse, an automatic reaction. He reached out, meaning to catch her if she stumbled, and his hands and arms ended up around her waist, his face closer to her than was probably socially acceptable. "This probably wasn't the best idea ever," he said before realizing how close he was to Coraline.

"I--Sorry," Nathan began, beginning to pull back.

"I guess," Eden shrugged. "Not like there's much we can do about it now, anyway. I guess we'll just have to let the chips fall where they may." Sighing, Eden poked her head into the generic coffee shop that the hospital housed, glancing around. It was relatively empty, and she wondered if that meant that the coffee tasted bad. Well, whatever. She needed the caffeine. She poked around her pockets before groaning.

"Oh, I did not forget my wallet. Crap. I'll have to go back to the school and get it. It must still be in my backpack. Uh, you go ahead and get yourself a cup. I think they have some water over there that I can drink for free. Yaaaay free things..."

Coraline smiled a bit and tilted her head a bit, "So I'm not the only one... My uncle was a drunk, so I learned to despise them..."She said with a slight shrug, trying to get the images of her uncle yelling at her aunt when he was drunk out of her mind. She had once been hit by her drunk of an uncle, he had been holding a bottle and it had scratched her hip, leaving a very small and pale scar. She had jumped in front of her aunt, having only been ten, and seeing her uncle getting to far in the yelling. Of course, after that, her aunt who was the one who was related, divorced his sorry drunk @ss... She was very happy for that and her aunt constantly thanked her about that..

She looked at him when he wrapped his arms around her waist, causing her skin to feel as though it had just caught on fire. Her heart began to pound when she realized how close he was to her... Even more so with the fact his face was close to hers, making her quite tempted to lean against him and kiss him. Not a good idea though. She turned bright pink when she listened to him. She saw him beginning to pull back and she grabbed his hands, the palm of her hands on the back of his hands and her fingers slipping in the spots between his, a bit shocked at her own actions. She let go of him and backed up a bit, now standing on her own. "Okay, um..." She was relieved when her parents came in the room, though she wasn't so relieved after her mother pulled her into a bone crushing hug...

Wess looked at her and shrugged a bit, not entirely agreeing with her... he had always been the kind to just try to lead his own life and not let things just happen without his consent. "I guess, but I would prefer not to have to deal with something if this ends badly between the two of them..." He said as he looked at her when they reached the coffee shop and saw she had forgotten her wallet. He opened his wallet and saw he had enough for them and he shrugged a bit, "I'll take it this time, but you'll owe me..."He siad with a smirk and got his coffee, waiting for her to order hers so he could pay.

[ FYI: I have final exams first week of June, so this week I might not be on as much b/c cramming. Just letting you know. ]

Nathan parted his lips slightly in both shock and sudden urge to kiss Coraline as she took his hands to hold him there. Clearing his throat, he slid his arms away as she allowed him--and was glad for it, as a pair of adults that could only be Coraline's parents burst into the room, the woman sweeping Coraline up into a hug that was probably not the best pressure considering she had just lost a lot of blood.

"Uh," Nathan said awkwardly, feeling like he was interrupting, "I guess I'll just wait outside, then." He didn't want to intrude on the family's time.

"Whatever happens will happen," Eden shrugged noncommittally. There came a point where Eden realized there was little she could do in the situation, so she might as well let everything go on. It would anyway, with or without her. She smiled when Wess offered to buy her a cup of coffee, saying, "It's really not that important...are you sure?" Grinning with thanks, Eden said, "Just get me a black cappuccino, then, please. Tall. And of course I owe you. Shall I pay you back?" Eden asked, wondering if Wess had some other deal in mind. Eden wasn't sure if he was the kind of person that took loans with reimbursement or with favors.
