Coraline refused to open her eyes, although Nathan had the distinct feeling she knew that he was there. Thankfully the ambulence was approaching. The sirens were blaring close by, and the glow of their lights were beginning to flicker. Was she going to die? The entire world seemed to spiral at the very thought. A world without Coraline seemed...inconcievable.

"Ah, Juliet," Nathan was saying before he could stop himself. "Why art thou so fair? Shall I believe that unsubstantial death is amorous?" Nathan felt he would've said the entire speech is Wess hadn't approached then, the paramedics not far behind.

"Over here!" Nathan shouted, calling them over.

"What?" Eden gasped, immediately feeling horrible that she hadn't worried as much as she should've about Coraline. She ran off behind Wess on his skateboard, cursing her short legs and her lack of endurance. By the time she arrived Nathan had called an answer to Wess, and Eden shouted, "How is she?"

Coraline heard someone above her, saying something she couldn't quite understand... yet it made perfect sense at the same time. Something in her head was listening and translating, though she wasn't quite sure what it was... she could hear more people coming though, and sirens.

Why were there sirens? She didn't understand what was going on, but she heard Nathan shout. She suddenly felt very sick to her stomach, having a need to begin heaving. She held it back though, swallowing down the bile rising in her throat as not to throw up. She didn't want to end up spewing everywhere...

Wess walked down the hill and towards Nathan and Coraline, looking at them, "Do you know what happened?" He asked as he looked down at the barely conscious, if even that, Coraline. He looked at them and then at Eden as he heard the sirens get closer, a little relieved... he waved over at them, trying to get their attention so they would know who to help."Over here!"

Nathan shook his head in a negativebas Wess asked the question, Eden approaching just behind the paramedics who made to lift Coraline in a gurney. This was incredibly comedic in a way.

"What happened?" one asked, and Nathan responded that he had found her on the ground...

Eden saw a lot of blood on Coraline but kmew better than to go dashing in and get in the way. She was feeling terrible, feeling like she had been a horrible friend by not looking for Coraline sooner.

Coraline felt someone lift her up into a gurney and put her in the ambulance, and she opened her eyes as they put an IV in her arm just in case. She winced as they poked and prodded to see what was wrong with her. She groaned in pain as they began to work to clean some of her wounds. She wasn't badly injured to the point where she would die, probably be a bit dizzy and maybe hurl once or twice but she'd probably be fine...

When they got to the hospital, they simply woke her up and put a bucket near her since she felt sick, and gave her pain medication while stitching up the deeper wounds.

Wess looked at Nathan and asked, "How'd you know where to find her?" He was a bit curious about this but he looked at Eden and said,"We should head to the hospital and make sure she isn't brain dead..."[color=grey] Okay, maybe that wasn't entirely funny, but he wasn't trying to be funny. He looked at her and then Nathan raising an eyebrow to ask if he was coming too... Nathan had been acting so weird lately...[.color]

Nathan shrugged, not able to vocalize the feeling of being drawn to this place by some sort of connection that he couldn't explain. It sounded sappy to him, and it was he that experienced it. he wasn't too eager to share it with Wess who would surely laugh in his face. Not that Nathan would blame him. It was ridiculous. He followed the ambulance wanly with his eyes as Coraline was lifted into a gurney and carted off to the hospital.

"Do you know how to contact her parents?" Nathan asked dully towards Eden, somewhat depressed after Wess' comment. He stubbornly kept the thought of Coraline dying from his mind as he stared at Eden for an answer while agreeing with Wess, saying, "We should get down there, then."

Eden frowned at Wess' question. It was a good one. How did Nathan know that Coraline would be here? Was it just a lucky guess? Well, whatever it was, she was glad that he had found her when he did. The wound looked bad. She felt another pang of guilt as Wess talked about dying brains. She sighed, "That's not funny" before answering Nathan, "I have her home phone number. I'll just have to leave a message. Do either of you have a car we can take?"

Nathan raised his hand blandly, leading the way to the parking lot and his car while Eden called Coraline's home. "Hi, this is Eden. Coraline had an accident on the track, and she's off to the hospital, now. We don't know how she is, yet, we're on our way ourselves." Eden finished off with an address of the hospital before climbing into the car and giving the same address to Nathan, who deftly drove the car in the direction.

Coraline had taken the pain medication, but next thing she knew she was heaving over a bucket while being told her had a concussion... She emptied her stomach and whimpered a bit as she rested her arm against the rim of the bucket and rested her cheek against her arm, head pounding as the room spun wildly... she listened to the doctor but instantly forgot what he had said... Great. A bit of amnesia to add to the concussion.

It seemed like she'd be stuck with the bad headaches for a bit, but she'd be fine in the end. She looked around and laid back against the hospital bed, they had wrapped her wounds and stitched the wound up on her head... It wasn't a pleasant experience but it'd have to do or she'd get an infection they could get to her brain if it got past her skull. She didn't need that!

Wess looked at Nathan as he shrugged, causing him to raise an eyebrow before looking at Eden, "Was kind of being serious..." He pointed out before getting in the car after Eden and watching Nathan as they drove down the road. He wasn't entirely sure what to say. He looked at them though and wondered just how Nathan had been able to find Coraline, from his knowledge Nathan and Coraline had only had rehearsal... nothing more... so how come Nathan was acting all weird?

He looked at Eden and said,"I'm sure it's just a simple concussion, she'll be fine... " He hoped it would kind of lighten the mood.

Nathan pulled up to the hospital in silence as he kept one ear on the conversation in the back seat. He quickly found a parking space before getting out of the car, not waiting for the others to follow after as he entered the building through the main entrance.

"Coraline Levar," Nathan said tersely to the receptionist, who took her damn time looking through the records as Nathan tapped the counter impatiently.

"Yeah," Eden nodded, looking at Wess with with some thanks, "I'm sure you're right. She'll be fine. I'm just overreacting."

As they pulled up to the hospital, Eden clambered out after Nathan as he dashed off to the entrance. Eden waited for Wess, however. Presumably when he got out, Eden would walk by his side towards the entrance, saying, "I'm just worried, that's all. And...I've noticed something. About Coraline. Ever since this play started."

Coraline whimpered as she laid back against the bed, no longer having the IV in her arm or any real monitors on her. She was simply put for resting so she could try to recover. It didn't really work, but it helped her from heaving a throbbing head ache. They had given her a few shots for the pain, all her wounds were cleaned and either bandaged or stitched up.

Wess looked at Eden and said, "She will be fine, I've seen runners take worse falls... it just depends on how bad she slipped, she will likely be up and running soon..." He said as he watched them and walked in with her and nodded,"I've noticed the same with Nathan. Yesterday he was acting like he ate pixie dust for breakfast... now he is acting very weird about Coraline..." He muttered, being quiet so Nathan wouldn't hear.

When the nurse came up with nothing, he thought and said, "Maybe it's Laver? He smiled when the nurse came up with the girl. He looked at them as she began to show them to the room

Nathan strode after the nurse, wishing she would go faster. Couldn't she go any faster? Trying to keep himself under control, he strode after he with purpose. He had to know that Coraline was alright. He had to know that everything was okay, that the world would stay upright, and that his very self wouldn't shatter--and it was with this thought that made Nathan pause at the door, his hand hovering with sudden hesitation above the knob. What was wrong with him? He didn't even know Coraline. Yeah, he was worried, but only because she was bleeding all over the place. It was a human reaction. But he wasn't a friend. He was acting as a Romeo to her Juliet. They were partners. Acquaintances. And Nathan felt like that could never be enough. What was wrong with him?

"Eden," Nathan asked, withdrawing his hand from the knob as she approached, "would you like to go in first? You're her friend, after all."

While she laughed at the pixie dust joke, in the back of her mind Eden was worried. "Coraline was really jubilant yesterday morning, too. It was like she had drunk an energy drink and turned into a different person. It's kind of weird that it happened to both of them. And...that kiss..." Eden trailed off, as if she had regretted talking about it in the first place. Biting her lip, she nearly jogged after Nathan in an attempt to keep up, frustrated again at her short stature. As she approached him and he asked her to go in first.

"Oh," Eden said in some surprise, thinking that Nathan was going to storm in by himself. "Yes, thanks. Sure." Eden stepped inside and felt her eyes widen as she took in the IV, the bandages around Coraline's head, and she rushed inside, saying, "Oh, my God. Are you okay? No, stupid question. Sorry. Oh, my God, I'm sorry I didn't look for you sooner. You always turned off your phone before you ran, so I just thought..." Eden trailed off lamely, hoping Coraline would understand that Eden would've come if she'd known what trouble she was in.
