Nathan heard voices outside and abruptly stopped his stomping, going out of the auditorium instead. Frowning, he glanced over Eden before looking at Wess. "She's not here yet? What time is it?"
An inexplicable feeling of dread had come over Nathan, and he wanted to streak off to the ends of the earth if that's what it took to find her...he would die for her. And it was as this thought crossed his mind that Nathan finally felt he was losing his mind.

"I don't know," Eden said just as Nathan burst in from behind her, making her jump. Glancing up at him, she glanced at her phone again, saying, "Time for rehearsal is what it is. I texted her but she didn't respond..." Her brows furrowed, she said, "Maybe she's just late. And she was sick, too. She might show up in a little bit. We should go in and get started." Eden bit her lip, concerned but not imagining that Coraline was in a life-or-death situation. After all, her phone was probably off. It was a frustrating habit of hers when she ran around on the track.
"Isn't this your friend?" Nathan growled before prowling off, shoulders hunched.
"Wait a minute! Where do you think you're going?" Eden shouted after him, but it was too late, and anyway she thought he'd not have listened to her anyway. He was around the corner before she could say "Romeo".
