Velvetpelt sighed, feeling out of placed and ashamed as she crept from the den to sit by the entrance, well aware of the many eyes that were set on her, burning into her fur.

[A~Random~Fox]

"Velvitpelt. Come with me." Darkfang, a large, black Tom with emerald-green eyes and a dark grey stomach approached her. There was an odd kindness in his eyes like he had never had before.

[wolfyattitude]

Velvetpelt cocked her head, suspicious although she stood up and slowly walked after him.

"Blackstar wanted me to ask you if you wanted to stay here. I would be your mentor, Darkfang's the name." he looked her over and gave her a sly smile.

"Sure I guess." She shrugged, nodding quietly as she stared at Blackstars den before turning back to Darkfang.

[A~Random~Fox]

"Great. We start in the morning, okay Angel?" he said in a tone that he knew wouldn't get him killed but a tone that would allow him to tease her.

[wolfyattitude]

"Don't call me that." She hissed, her ears flattening, although she nodded and stalked away.

Russetfur chuckled.
"Nice one, she won't last two days." She purred as she trotted over to Darkfang.

"Haha, get's 'Em every time." he laughed.

Velvetpelt sighed, sitting by the front of the medicine cat den and huddling down, trying to ignore the stares.

"You're good at it, how are you planning to mentor her? I'd teach her badly so she'd have to get kicked out. She'll be useless." She snorted with a hint of amusement in her tone.

"Nah, I think I'll give her a chance, but I don't think I'll teach her everything I know at first. Make her work for it." he winked at Russetfur.
