"And your all the way down here?" Felcia's voice held amazement. "How long have you been traveling?" Conversations with strangers always revolves around them, she wasn't fond of her past. It had its ups and downs just like everyone else's, but she hated looking back. All the good memories she found, only made the bad ones worse.

Quinhagak nodded with a light smile "For about two years now." He told her as he shifted his weight from paw to paw. His alert ears twitched to any sound that got too close as he listened to her questions. Quin did not mind sharing his past, as he had nothing to hide. He had skeletons in him den but then again so did everyone else who walked the earth.

Felcia smiled at Quin. "That's amazing." her eyes held a pup-like excitement, and she was practically bouncing up and down, though she stayed still. "Tell me more of your travels!"

Quinhagak looked at Felcia and chuckled lightly. 'The innocents of a young pup.' he thought as he saw the excitement in her eyes. His golden eyes reflected the sunlight as it rose higher into the sky and slowly began to reveal his scars and the missing half of his left ear. "Well, that would depend on what exactly you wish to know about or which regent." He told her in his calm but gravely voice.

Felcia sat back and looked up toward the sun, but not at it, and sat for a minuet. I be he has all these cool stories of how he survived in the wild. How he learned to care for himself. To deal with the loneliness. But maybe he doesn't wanna talk about the loneliness. So I'll asking him about why he left.. Felcia looked back into his golden eyes about to ask him, but then she scans over him. "What are the scars from?"

Quinhagak looked puzzled for a moment before realizing the sun had revealed his full form. He chuckled lightly "Well. When I was still in Alaska, but after I had left home, I ran into a large polar bear. We fought and he left he with the scars across my back." he told her as he nodded towards his back. "The ones across my neck are from an encounter with an angry mountain lion in the smoky mountains of North Carolina and Tennessee." He absently tilted his head where his scars could be seen. "The ones across my right back leg are from a run in with an Alligator in New Orleans. Those one my left hind leg are from an angry mother black bear in North Dakota." He said before his eyes turned and scanned the forest. "I lost half of my left ear to a human about six months ago." He stated as his eyes narrowed on something in the bushes.

Felcia listened intently. He has been everywhere! Looking at each scare of his, made her question her own safe life. She wasn't a fighter, never was. When her parents where fight, she always ran. She just couldn't stand it. Looking back up at Quin, Felcia saw his eyes narrow. She instantly turned her head to the forest. "What is it?" Her voice was barely above a whisper.

Quinhagak closed his eyes and listened closely to the forest and what laid within it. He heard a crow a good ways off along with the herd of deer that had scattered now settling to graze. He heard the young rabbits running in and out of their holes. Above all he heard the sound of a rifle being loaded. His eyes snapped open an a deep growl echoed in his throat. "Humans." He said in regards to her question. "They are out on the hunt and they wont hesitate to kill a dog they thing is wild." He told her as he turned and started walking in the opposite direction. However the sound of heavy paws stopped him and made him listen again. There was a young bear being drawn in by the sent of his kill. It would be there sooner than the humans. "You might want to move on from this area. That or risk fighting both the humans and the bear that are heading this way." He told her as he started walking again.

Looking around her and listening, Felcia heard the bear and humans. "Can I come with you, until it's safe?" She didn't want to be caught by the bear or humans. She would try and fight the bear, and quickly lose her life, same with the humans. Felcia stood, and started following Quin, not waiting for his answer.

Quinhagak listened to everything around him and only half heard her question. However he also heard her pawsteps following close behind him. 'You all ready are following.'' he told her as he kept walking. "I don not mind but you need to stay close and listen if you are going to follow me." He told her. At that same moment he felt a pair of eyes trained on them. It was the same sense her hag got before he was shot by humans the last time. Without thinking Quin pushed Felcia aside as a shot rang out. It missed them both. "Run." He told her "Keep heading north for about five miles. There is a water fall there with a cave hidden behind it. You will be safe there for a while." He said as he turned towards the advancing humans.
