Rose gave him a smile, and watched as her mother brought out newly made nesting dolls and set them up.

Valtteri looked toward her mom with his icy blue eyes and smiled a bit in a friendly manner, but didn't say anything.

Rose smiled at her mother, then turned to Valtteri. "She only knows Russian so ..yeah.."

"Oh right. I don't know any Russian," Valtteri said before rubbing the back of his neck sheepishly.

Rose nodded and gave him a little smile. "Russian is hard to learn."

"I've heard that it's not too bad actually. I've heard English is the hardest to learn," Valtteri told her softly.

Rose nodded, "English was hard for me."

[Ploegy]

"It was kind of hard for me, but when I learned I was going to be playing hockey in America I began to study it and learn it a lot more than I already had," Valtteri said.

Rose nodded in understanding,"yeah." She said.

[Ploegy]

"I pretty much had to know English because nobody on my team is Finnish nor has the team I'm on ever had a Finnish born player before me," Valtteri told her.
