Amber smoothed her sister's hair back, watching as Haven healed the latest injury Shadow had received. He had been fighting one of the common coyotes that were huge and talked and had received a ton of bites. But in the end, the dog had won with his own mutations. Becoming bored, Amber shifted into one of her sister's favorite animals: the humming bird.

Haven heard the buzzing of wings and looked up from her dog's wounds. She laughed when she saw Amber as a humming bird, then frowned at one of Shadow's more serious wounds. She gently placed her hand on it, watching with amazement as it vanished. She had only discovered her power a few days ago when a piece of timber had hit Amber's arm in a fire. She had easily healed it. Finishing with Shadow, she thought of how her mother would have hugged her and told her good job.

I sit on my bed, throwing a baseball into the air and catching it when it comes back down. A wide shark grin on my lips. I jump up and walk out of my bedroom, and outside into the front yard. I look around at all the crashed cars lined up on the streets, and how empty everything was now days. I sigh, and groan softly to myself as I ride on my skate board down the side walk, with a wooden base ball bat in my hand. I turn my hat around backwards and let my bands hang a little baggy. I watch the kids walk down the street, with stolen sodas or snacks in their shaky hands. As I get into town, I pick up my skate board and hold the front part in my left hand as I walk to to hall.

As I wake up in the morning, I look outside to see no people at all...Just like all these days we have been going through. Nobody was out there to save us from...From this weird FAYZ everyone called it.I sigh, and groan softly to myself. I run down stairs in my blue jean shorts and a orange tank-top with green flip-flops on. I jog down the street, and into the main part of Town Hall. I look around for somebody to talk to or do something useful, to help.

Amber shifted back, then held out her hand for Haven's. Her thoughts reeled around in her head. She herself had seen kids vanish as soon as they turned fifteen. No matter what, she would refuse to vanish. She couldn't leave her little sister. It was a horrible thought. She patted Shadow's head as he also stood up. The dog had been a stray that had mutated. Something had attacked him, leaving bad wounds, and Haven had healed him up. He had been tagging along ever since.

Have took her sister's hand and stood up, peering around her. They were in front of what used to be their house. Their mother had been cooking when she had vanished, and a towel had been left on the stove. The house had caught on fire soon after. Haven yawned. Soon they would be heading to the daycare for her nap. She needed frequent naps, as she was tired out from healing all the time. "Are we going to the Daycare?" She asked. The daycare was also where her sister and her slept every night.
