Machi fixed his purple eyes on Silver when he realized, at one time or another, Clary had disappeared. "Er..." he muttered awkwardly, scratching the back of his head and scuffing his foot on the ground.

Silver decided to finally find out the truth, and turned to Machi. "What am I to you?"

Machi looked startled at the question, his eyebrows knitting together as he stared at Silver. "What do you mean?" the elf asked cautiously.

"Am I just your leader, aquaintence, friend..?"

Machi blinked rapidly. He didn't know how to answer. The elf bit his lip before blurting out "You're the one I love. The one I look up to. The one I admire above all others." Machi's cheeks flamed, and he glanced down, scuffing his boot against the ground.

Machi's eyes flashed with hurt at Silver's reaction, and he slowly spun on his heel until he was facing away from her. "Because you're beautiful. And strong. And brave. And you need somebody," he said in a low voice, almost a whisper.
