Emily gritted her teeth as she ran. She then ran into the water, it splashing until it was too deep for her to stand. Emmie swam a bit before looking around, unable to see Jessie underneath the water.

Jessica popped up a few meters away, treading water slowly. She smoothed her hair away from her face and smiled brightly.
"That was brilliant," She said, laughing. She hadn't been swimming in ages.

Emily nodded in agreement. She wished she had won, though. Emmie just shook her head, blocking those competitive thoughts away. She was way too competitive at times. It was an issue. She swam towards Jessie. "It was too brilliant," She said softly.

Jessica just nodded, breathless and unsure what to say. She noticed that no one else was around, and they had swam past the wave breaks, so no one could see them. But she didn't mind.

Emily felt slightly nervous, finally feeling the panic rise into her. Why did she have to be scared of lakes or oceans? Or even pools? She just took a deep breath. Nothing will happen.. She kept telling herself mentally. Her heartbeat went extremely rapid. Emmie went to Jessie's side, their hips touching each other, feeling slightly safer.

'Hey, you ok?" she asked, noticing the weary look on Emmies face. "We can go back in if you want," She suggested grabbng Emmies closest hand. She knew some people weren't comfortable being so far out, and she ddin't judge.

Emily shook her head. "N-No, I'm fine. Let's stay." Emmie bit at her lip, trying her best to remain calm. She shuddered, thinking about what lives in water. Her mind kept trying to think of the dangers that could happen, which made her have worse anxieties, but she was fighting to keep those thoughts away.

Jessica didn't accept it. She could tell Emmie wasn't fine. She entwined her fingers with Emmie's and started to kick slowly back to the beach.

Emily tried to stop Jessie from swimming away. "What are you doing? I told you I'm fine." She said boldly as she refused to move. Perhaps she should've followed Jessie, but she had to face her fears. It wouldn't be easy, but she had to.

Jessica sighed. "Okay then," She breathed, leaving her effort to pull them back in. She didn't let go of her hand though.
