Crash gazed up at the tree and struggled to make the gears grind in her head. At this point in time, she was too stunned to do anything, her paws briefly frozen to the ground. However, after a heartbeat or so, Crash shook her head and snapped out of her trance, pacing in front of the tree thoughtfully. Okay, well the tree is blocked on either way, so there's no getting around it, she decided, looking up at the large plant with question in her golden gaze. And the tree's too big to climb over. Plus, it's wet; even if we did get on top of it, we would risk falling and getting seriously injured... An annoyed growl arose in Crash's throat, slightly muffled by the soaked herbs in her mouth. After a moment, she paused and flicked her ear twice as the rain fell into it, splashing against her eardrum. The storm had refused to lighten up even a little; if anything, it had gotten worse in the time that the two had been standing out there.
Crash had been so intent on trying to find away around the tree that she had hardly heard Axel's voice sound beside her. She had lowered her head and pawed at the base of the trunk fretfully. In the back of her head, Crash knew that with every moment that passed, Jet would be a moment closer to death. If Jet dies, it'll be all my fault... she thought frantically, whining in desperation. Suddenly, Crash felt vibrations on the ground pounding against her pads; heavier than the raindrops, but still light in bounce. She narrowed her eyes and lifted her head, turning it and cocking eyebrow in quesiton. Her ears shot up when she spotted Axel hastily padding away in the other direction, not looking back. Crash's tail-tip twitched slightly, but after a moment she bounded after the male. "Hey, wait up!" she called after him, her voice muffled by the herbs clamped in her jaws. After a brief second, she was standing side to side with Axel, and she flicked her tail as a signal for him to lead the way.
