Crash was soon padding slowly into the soaked forest, the rain pounding violently against her. She grimaced at the wet liquid and almost hurled at the sight as she treaded onward. No thanks, she thought, slightly pausing to look around her surroundings. I've had enough water to last me a lifetime! Suddenly, Crash's gray ears swiveled behind her and pricked twice, for she had percieved a noise that came from behind. She threw a glance over her shoulder and noticed that Axel was following her, his own mouth filled with remedy herbs. Crash shot the male a thankful smile and turned her head back, padding onward.
From Axel's den, Crash and the male padded onward, following a trail of pawprints that lead her back to the river. From there, she would be able to discover where excactly Jet was located. A groan threatened to spill from the fae's jaws, but she swallowed against it and continued onward. To be honest, Crash never wanted to go near that river again! But I'm lost. she mentally reasoned, looking back to make sure that Axel was keeping up. And besides, Jet needs these herbs. She carefully picked her way through the dim-lit woodland, making sure the precious cargo in her jaws wouldn't fall into the mud. Lightning streaked the skies overhead, getting dangerously close to the treetops. Crash shot a wary glance upwards, before turning her gaze back ahead and pushing on through the storm.
Crash heard Axel's voice sound behind her, but she didn't turn her head. He was barely audible over the violent hiss of the rain, but Crash could still percieve what he had said. "We're helping Jet." she explained through the mouthful of herbs, looking behind her at Axel. "He's laying unconcious in a den right now. If he don't get these herbs to him fast, he could di-"
Crash was suddenly cut off by the sound of thunder roaring overhead. She looked up wide-eyed to see a claw of light violently slash against a nearby tree. The tree groaned as it began to sway, sending showers of clustered rain and leaves down. With horror, she looked down at Axel, who was standing right in the way of the falling tree. He was going to get crushed! "Axel! Look out!" she shrieked over the noise of the storm, lunging forward. Crash slightly felt the breath being knocked out of her as she collided into Axel, sending them both tumbling backwards. The tree, it's roots already slippery by the rain, came crashing down behind the two wolves. Crash felt her tail just graze the tree as it smashed down, causing a loud echoing boom.
Panting, Crash slowly climbed off of Axel and looked at the tree with utter dismay. "The road's blocked." she concluded, her ears flat against her head. But this is the only way I know how to get to the den where Jet is! she thought, looking 'round the forest hopelessely.
What are we going to do now?~
