Mist yawned and scratched at her ear with her hind legs, siting on her haunches. Nothing particularly interesting was happening at the moment, but the snow drifted down in gentle blankets, covering the valley and forests with a thick frostiness that couldn't be replicated. She laid down and rested her head on her front paws, overlooking the pack curiously.
Shadow dug at the ground vigorously, knowing he'd need a burrow or at least something to sleep in when night fell. It was nearly sunset now, and he needed to have shelter. There was a growing pile of snow behind him, but he kept digging anyhow. The snowflakes mixed in with his pitch black fur, making him appear speckled.
