Jace reached out to take it as if he was wondering if it were actually real, solid, and being offered to him. He turned it over and over in his hands, staring at it in almost awe. He looked up, and nodded. "Thank you," he said, before taking a bite, closing his eyes for a moment, savoring it. The juice ran down his chin a small bit, and he wiped it away with the back of his hand quickly.

In a truths, he was very surprised. She had let him into her home, let him shower, and fed him, when most housed Nekos would have slammed the window in his face without even saying hello.

{ Camille }

Camille smiled a bit as she watched him, amused some at his reaction. "Your welcome." she said softly as she closed the fridge door. She then took one or two more bites of her own apple before turning and heading out of the kitchen, glancing over at the clock a bit before she did so. The girl that owned her would probably be getting home in two hours or so, or probably even later. She usually worked late, so Camille never really had a certain time at which she expected her to get back at.

As she headed back through the hall, she glanced back at Jace a little bit. "You know, you never told me your name." she said with a blink.

Jace could've eaten the apple in three or four quick bites, but he didn't have to fight for his food here. He ate it slowly, taking small bites to savor every last bit. He followed Camille with his eyes, already mostly used to the soft ringing of the bells she wore, even though it annoyed him slightly.

Following her slowly down the hallway- he didn't want to get left, he kept studying her, but not so intently. He was looking around too, studying the house. He was becoming more and more relaxed, not so ready to jump and run. He looked up and grinned when she mentioned his name, and he shrugged. "I get called a lot of things... Thief. The slippery one. Disappearing act...." he trailed off, seemingly lost in thought. "I don't really go by anything," he said softy, almost a bit sadly, as he leaned against the doorframe, and his ears and tail dropped a small bit. "Just whatever you want to call Me... My boy used to call Me Jace though." At this point, he seemed to be talking mostly to himself.

{ Camille }

Camille paused a bit as she was about to head up the stairs and to her room, glancing back at him as she took another bite of her own apple. By what she had seen, he seemed to miss the boy that had owned him. It made her curious as to why he was a stray now, but she wasn't going to press the subject, since she knew he probably wouldn't want to talk about it.

"Would it be alright if I called you Jace?" she asked, her voice strangely edged in a rather soft tone for once. She didn't want his mood to lower if she called him by the name, so she wanted to make sure that it was alright with him before she did.

Jace didn't even look up, lost in thoughts. He had thought about the bit more today than he had in the past year put together. He usually tried not to, because he knew it was useless. He felt his ears fall back against his hair, giving away the pain he felt inside, but he nodded slowly.

Jace, he thought, replaying the name in his head. It had been a long time since anyone had actually called him that, and it felt... Bittersweet. He followed slowly behind Camille, looking at the floor.

{ Camille }

Camille blinked a bit as she watched him, wondering if he was alright. Maybe I should try and think of something else to call him... she thought as she silently headed back up the stairs, frowning a bit as she did so. Once she got upstairs though, she silently headed over to the window, pushing the curtains aside a bit and sighing softly when she saw that the rain hadn't stopped.

"You really seemed to have cared about the boy that had once owned you..." she said softly as she sat down on her bed, crossing her legs and looking over at him.

Jace looked outside when she pulled back the curtains, frowning slightly when he saw it was raining still. It was dark and looked windy, and he was glad he was not out in it. There was no way he would have been even close to dry...

He slid down the wall, sitting where he had been before, and raked a hand through his hair, eating his apple slowly and absently pulling at the strands of string on his pant legs. He looked up and nodded mutely in repsonse to her, it took him a few moments to actually respond. "I did," he said softly, nodding once slowly.

{ Camille }

Camille silently watched him, and then sighed a bit before taking another bite of her apple. "I care a lot for my owner..." she said softly, glancing out of the window a bit as she rested her elbow back up on the rim of it, resting her chin on her hands. "I kind of feel that I am a nuisance to her though... Since by her taking of the duty of taking care of me just makes it so that she has to work and pay more..."

The usual faraway look returned to her eyes as she silently watched the rain roll down the glass pains of her window, a slight frown on her face. She had considered leaving the girl a few times, but she had never actually did it...

Jace nodded, listening. He had never felt like a bother to his boy, they had worked together... He sighed slightly, resting his head against the wall. "You could always leave," he said softly. "Come with Me..." He shrugged slightly, knowing she would shoot this idea down without a second thought, but he couldn't help but at least try.

"We wouldn't have to steal..." he added. "I could find someplace to work. Earn a little money at least. There's a few places I know where we could stay, find somewhere more permanent..." he sighed, stretching out on the floor before curling up loosely on his side, fixing up at her.

{ Camille }

Camille blinked a bit, surprised that he offered such a thing. She didn't want to leave the girl, but she knew that if she started to get overstressed from both school and work that she would probably have to leave. For a few seconds, she was just silent, staring out at the gloomy and rainy street that laid out in front of her window, but she soon sighed.

"If it gets worse for her with working and all... that would probably be the best thing for me to do." she said quietly, her voice barely audible as she gazed out of the window. "I don't want to cause the girl any trouble, since she's seemed to have already gone through enough..."
