I glanced at the sky once more, then noticed Moonshade. "Moonshade!" I called across the camp.

Moonshade turned around in the direction of where she'd heard her name called. She tipped her head to the side, then smiled. The dark tabby trotted over to her medicine cat and let out a friendly purr. "Hello, Featherswoop," she answered back. "What's up?" She sat down beside her and licked a paw.

"Oh, not much, really. But..." I glanced up at the sky. It was drifting closer and closer over the camp. "I'm low on supplies, and that cloud seems to be getting closer every second. You couldn't possibly run out and get some marigold for me, could you?" I briefly described the scent and looks.

Moonshade blinked. Getting herbs was an apprentice's task.... She didn't take the thought to offense though, and smiled, nodding. She listened to what it looked and smelled like intently and stood. "Of course. I'll go now. Are there any spots in the territory where it grows the most? It'll make my job easier," she laughed.

I considered for a second. "I think there's a bit by the edge of the thunderpath. Thanks so much, I really appreciate it. I'm really busy." I turned away and disappeared back into the medicine den.

Moonshade shut her mouth when the other she-cat left so abruptly. "Al-Alright!" she called. "No problem!" She stood, sighing and decided she'd take Stripedpaw out later today. The young warrior trotted out the camp, tail high, and eyes bright.
She headed straight for the Thunderpath, no matter how hard her heart pounded in fear. It took a while, for it was on the edge of the territory, but as she seemed to near the border, she smelled that awful rank of monsters. She snorted, wrinkling her pink nose and took a timid step forward out of the bushes that concealed her from view. Now she was completely vulnerable, standing on the edge of the forest with only a couple of tail-lengths separating her and the black, hard ground that was the Thunderpath. She swallowed hard and walked along the edge of the bushes, making sure her fur was tracing the branches. She froze in fear as she heard the loud rumble of a huge twoleg Monster approaching fast and flattened herself to the ground immediately, shutting her eyes tight.
Once it past, she let out a shaky breath, and got up slowly. Her ears were pinned to the back of her head in fright and she searched desperately for the herbs.

I nosed the pile of poppy heads. I doubted I could find any more before leaf-bare ended, so I sighed and moved on to thyme. Eventually I gave up. We were low on everything. I padded out of the den and scented the air.

Strongpaw and Skypaw went to the rtraining grounds.

Leaflight looked for Crowpaw.

I dropped the squirrel and looked up as Strongpaw and Skypaw walked over. "Oh! Hi! Look what I caught!" I mewed, grinning.
