Abby growled turning back to her true form, and Spice did the same. They growled at him and pushed him towards Alex's room. "Alex can't speak! He's mute, remember?! Plus he looked sicker than a cat!" They both snapped at precisely the same time. They had noticed, before leaping into the pool earlier that day, that Harkuru's tail was wagging and that he seemed happy when Kovu was near him so they thought tha only Kovu could help Harkuru with what ever it was that he needed help with.

Both Abby and Spice did not care. They had basically ignored Kovu as they almost neared the room where Harkuru and Alex slept. Harkuru, the giant gray wolf, lifted his head and peered across the room at the boy. With a sigh, sensing the fright he had just had, he got to his paws and padded over. He gripped the blanket in his jaws and pulled them back onto Alex after gentally pushing his head back down onto his pillow. "Do not fret. I am here but you need to rest." He has said to the boy before licking his hand and padding back over to his bed in the corner.

Alex grabbed the blanket wrapping it around him as he walked over to Harkuru curling up on the floor next to him."Harkuru what do you think of me?"He asks softly his eyes half closed
