Celeste had just finished going for a walk, and was now walking back into her house, stretching her arms over her head and yawning a little bit. It had been a long walk. She tried to sneak up into her room, but she heard her mother call her name before she had the chance. Celeste sighed softly. Well it must have been improtant if her mother was actually calling for her. She made her way to the living room, standing in the liking room beside the couch her mother was sitting on. "What?" she asked her mother.
"Well I have something to tell you. I've been preparing for a while now and everything is set in motion. Ive arranged for you to be married," her mother said, in a somewhat dull tone.
"Excuse me?" Celeste said, sounding half outraged, half disbelieving.
"I've invited him over. He'll be here sometime today," her mother continued, dismissing her daughters words.
"Excuse me?" Celeste Repeated. "I refuse," she then said, crossing her arms over her chest.
"You have no choice to refuse," her mother said, "You're marrying him. You have no choice," she said.
"Try and make me," Celeste said, an angry look on her face.
"Alright I will. You marry him or you're out of this house," her mother said, her face looking angry.
"Wow you really meant that...." Celeste realized quietly. She huffed angrily. "Fine. I'll meet this guy. But I'm not going to like it," she said, stomping away from her mother angrily.

Eli was sitting in his room, sketching quietly. There was a quiet knock on his door, where stood his father. Eli's mother passed away long ago. His father wasn't exactly the kindest man in the world, but he was an alright person. He wasn't expecting his father to tell him he was arranged to be married - had been for quite some time now - and that he was going to go meet his soon to be bride, that he didn't have a choice, and that there would be severe punishment if Eli disobeyed. Eli was simply dumbfounded, but heaitantly agreed, not sure what else to do about it. So, soon enough, Eli and his father were on their way to meet this girl.

Aurora had been sitting next to her bedroom window, with a book. During her free time, she preferred reading than sitting about idly or sewing. That was when her aunt had come up to her room to tell her the news. She was to be married to some man named Eli. Eli? She had never heard of him before. Naturally, Aurora had been upset, but of course, she couldn't do anything. She simply nodded, not even bothering to argue.

Eli and his father were at this girls house soon enough, and Eli swallowed a bit. He had no interest in getting married, especially to someone hebhad never met before. His father knocked on the door for Eli, knowing his son wasn't going to. "At least try to get to know her," his father said. Eli grunted. Huaraches had actually only arranged this so Eli would actually find someone to love, because he knew Eli sure as hell wasn't going to do it on his own.

Celeste had gone up to her room and barred the door shut, so when this guy she was supposed to marry did come over, he wouldn't be able to make it inside here. Neither would her mother. Well, she knew her mother would figure it out. But it was obvious she had no intentions of meeting him. Mostly because this was her mothers idea, and she went against everything her mother wanted. She was laying in bed now, belly down, eyes trailing towards the door. She wasn't going to let anyone get in here.

Aurora's aunt heard the knock at the door and stood up, going to answer. Pulling the door open, she saw Eli and his father and she smiled. "Please, come in," she told them, stepping aside to let them in. Once they were in, she shut the door behind them, turning around to lead them to the living room. "Have a seat. I'll bring her down," Aurora's aunt said, still smiling, moving towards the stairs. She climbed up and knocked on the door, "Aurora, come downstairs please. They've arrived." After a moment of silence and no reply, she knocked again. "Aurora, come out now."

Sighing, Aurora got up and went to her bedroom door, pulling it open. "I don't want to even meet them," she grumbled under her breath as her ain't grabbed her by the wrist and pulled her downstairs to the living room.

Steven stood at the door of the girl he was supposed to marry, next to his mother. He sighed, knocking, shaking his head. Steven wouldn't be able to say no to his mother. This was one thing she wanted to see most. Her only son getting married off.

Eli sat down in the livin room, his face looking as dull as it usually did. He really didn't want to be here. He felt his father pat his shoulde lightly. "No need to look like that," he said. Eli continued to frown. His father sighed softly. "You know I didn't want to marry your mother either. There was another woman. But I fell in love with her," his father said. "I don't want to talk about her," Eli grumbled at his father. His father grew silent, looking up when Aurora arrived. Eli continued to look down.

"Welcome!" her mother said when she opened the door, immediately plastering a beautiful and perfect fake smile on her face. She pulled open the door for the two. "Come on in. I'll go get Celeste," she said, smiling softly. She motioned towards the living room. "You can sit down in there," she said. Then she went up to Celeste's room. "Come on Celeste," she said, knocking on her door. Celeste said nothing, just stood up and grabbed the door handle so her mother couldn't open the door. Her mother tried the handle but couldn't open the door. "Celeste," her mother said firmly. Celeste couldn't remember the last time her mother actually said her name. It meant she was in trouble. "I'm not coming out!" Celeste said. Her mother sighed in frustration outside the door. Celeste wished she could see what her mother was doing so she could read her emotion. She felt blind. "Celeste," her mother repeated in a more frustrated tone. "You really want to leave don't you?" her mother said. Right. That. Celeste remembered. She sighed and let go of the handle. Her mother opened the door, and pushed Celeste out of her room. Celeste looked frustrated still as she was led to the loving room.

Aurora looked at Eli and his father, crossing her arms. She looked between them and her aunt, who motioned for her to sit down across from Eli and his father. When she refused, her aunt huffed and propelled her to the couch across from the men, pushed her down by her shoulders so that Aurora had no choice but to sit down. "Aurora," her aunt began, "Meet your soon-to-be husband and his father," she said, a bit too cheerfully. She looked at Eli and the man next to him, "Would you like anything to eat or drink?"

Steven and his mother followed Celeste's mother into the living room, taking a seat next to each other. As they waited for Celeste and her mother to come down, Steven leaned in close to his mother and spoke in a hushed tone. "I wish you weren't forcing this upon me. I would've chosen someone eventually," he told her, before sitting back when Celeste and her mother reappeared.

Celeste looked between Steven and his mother. "Don't eventhink about doing that th-" her mother whispered to her, but that was too late. "I get it. It's actually her idea," Celeste said, pointing at Stevens mother, "And you," she pointed at Steven, "Are not thrilled about it at all. A bit mad, actually. At her," Celeste pointed out. "Thing with the faces...." her mother finished whispering after Celeste's little rant. "Go sit down," her mother said, and Celeste did, across from steven, her bluish green eyes looking at his face. She crossed her arms over her chest, then crossed her legs. There was a small grin on her face. She would win this battle against her mother.

Eli's hazel eyes flicked up momentarily to Aurora. Then his eyes quickly flicked back down. His father nudged his shoulder lightly. He realized his father had politely accepted her offer and was telling Eli to say something. "Oh, no thanks," Eli said, momentarily looking up then quickly looking back down. He felt very awkward right now.
