Skyspirit lay in a patch of sunlight purring as she watched her kits play.Whiteleaf was stretched out next to her, asleep."We've defeated the fox!"Sorrelkit yowled triumphantly.Ivykit stood next to her pinning her brother down.Greykit sprawled on the ground with his eyes closed.He was so still that Ivykit asked"Is he really dead?"Greykit sprung at her and they rolled over, squeaking as they play-fought."Not so rough now"Skyspirit cautioned when Greykit bit her.

Songstar watched the kits proudly."They will make good warriors someday"She remarked to Moonfrost.

Moonfrost smiled, nodding her head. She loved to watch kits play, it always made her happy.

Dewfur lay basking in the sun next to the other queens. Smiling as she watched the kits play, she gave her belly a few quick licks, thinking of her own unborn kits.

Songstar blinked."I have to go.I promised Fangpaw i'd take him hunting"She called her apprentices name.

Dewfur nodded purring happily. "She couldnt wait untill that day.

Moonfrost nodded in understanding "I should probably take Icepaw out to train too". Looking around, she called out her aprenticees name.

Fangpaw looked up from where he had been napping as his leader and mentor called his name. Jumping to his feet, he padded up to Songstar, tail tip twiching in exitment.

Icepaw ran out of her den to Moonfrost."What are we doing today?"She asked excitedly.

Thornpelt walked to the the fresh kill pile and tripped over the kits."Watch out"He said shaking his head.He picked up a squirrel and took it back to the den
