I look relieved. I gently let her go, "I'm sorry." I said softly.

[Patch.]

"Don't!" I blurt out in fear. I clutch his shoulders and yank myself to him. I didn't want him to let me go. I didn't want to leave his warm embrace. I wanted to be far far away from Otis and his gang and... she refused to think about the bull. He'd scared her, but he'd also helped her... She wouldn't dare mention that to Griffin or Mazzy. They wouldn't believe her.

[FamineMyth]

"I thought I was hurting you.." I mumble, "but okay.." I say shakily,"I'm glad your okay.."

[Patch.]

I bury my face in his shoulder and light my heart out in sobbing.

Mazzy comes back, carrying several towels, another blanket, and some fresh clothes.

I gently rub her shoulder, sighing. I glance at Mazzy with tired eyes.

[Patch.]

Mazzy gives Griffin a small smile. She lays the stuff beside him then moves off to give them space.

I close my eyes briefly, listening to Sammy cry into me. I didn't stop her, leaving her to let it out.

[Patch.]

I cry until my throat starts to feel raw. I lean back a bit to wipe my eyes.

I smile weakly at her, watching her carefully.

[Patch.]

"Griffin, I'm so so so sorry for how I've treated you lately," I blurt out, trying to focus on him through my swimming vision. "I was selfish and only thought of myself. If I'd just followed my instincts, we would've left the very first day we arrived at that screwed up place! Now we're stuck here and being hunted." My eyes widen as I remember what had gone on during my temporary capture. "They were in league with my old pack the entire time- those scientists and everything. They were experimenting on our species like lab rats."
