I hesitate for only a moment, before I copy what Mazzy had done. On the third try, I'm frantic. "Sammy, come on." I say before, pinching her nose and blowing air into her mouth. I was starting to get dizzy.

[Patch.]

"Sammy, come on," Mazzy mutters once she gets her breath back, but the young Alpha doesn't breath at all.

I try a few more times before pulling back, holding my head. "It's not working.." I manage to say shakily.

[Patch.]

Mazzy lowers her eyes and starts to cry, her face in her hands.

I quickly catch my breath and try a few more times. Now I feel her arm for a pulse. I didn't plan on giving up.. Come on, Sammy. Please...

[Patch.]

Mazzy wipes her eyes and moves closer, tears sliding down her face. "She can't die.. she was so tough."

After a minute, I pull my hands away shaking my head, swallowing as I try to hold back my tears.

[Patch.]

Mazzy breaks into sobs, holding her face in her hands.

Theres a ripping sound as I shift uncontrollably. I pin back my ears and howl.

[Patch.]

Mazzy suddenly wipes her eyes quickly and sits up. "Griffin, shh! They'll hear us!" She clamps her hands over his muffle to quiet him. "I know you're upset, but they'll just find us that way."
