"Tell me about it... I get her back and then she's ripped away from me again.." My eyes are a bit red and glassy now.

[Patch.]

"Shh..," Mazzy says soothingly, so he wouldn't start crying. "We'll get her back." She feels so scared to touch him now.

My breathing is shaky, as I wonder what's happening to Sammy right now. I swallow, feeling silent tears roll down my cheeks.

[Patch.]

"Griffin..." Mazzy fights her fear and reaches over to stroke his hair back, unsure what to do for him.

[FamineMyth]

I don't mind and take it as a comforting gesture, as I sniff.

[Patch.]

"Shh.." Mazzy nervously moves to sit beside him and rubs his tummy. She'd done it to pups in the past and they'd calmed down generally. She couldn't count how many small children she'd held and comforted while they were sick or injured.

[FamineMyth]

I shake a bit, closing my eyes.

[Patch.]

Mazzy starts humming a song she really liked. It was called "In the Arms of an Angel". She sings it softly to Griffin...
